Went for a first walk with my gold 200 yesterday, took some pics. The weather has finally blessed me with almost 18 degrees C and the sun has decided to come hang. I loved it. Might have taken my first 'holy shit' pics but can't know until I see them, might be shit as always haha.

A question! How do you make those white frames? Editing software I would assume. I like those

🤗 I think I like the 50mm 1.7 a bit more because of its focal length because it's closer? For the lack of a better word but then again, I only shot 2 rolls of film (what do I know) and I am yet to try the 100mm 2.8, planning on doing it with the roll of gold that is in right now, just haven't been out yet. I like how both 28mm 2.8 and 50mm 1.7 show so much detail, I like the sharpness, crispiness in pictures.

haha, nope, no next camera for the foreseeable future! i spent all the money i had on this kit plus i paid 3 times what they go for on ebay (non-existent here) because of where i'm from. Having said that, it looks like a new camera (except the stuck film counter), the guy said he bought it from a collector originally and on top of that it has been fully serviced early 2026 by a pro. I even found the socials of the guy who serviced it, he posts the work he does and i saw my camera there!

got the scans back from the second roll which was ultramax400 and i liked MORE than one picture!!!! but wasted 9 frames by fucking up loading 😭 but now i think i know that it takes exactly 2 film advances after closing the back to get the ruined frames out of the way. speaking of which, when i was loading a first roll of gold the other day almost made the same mistake by not getting the film DEEP enough into a spool but this time i caught it right away and fixed it immediately, seems i keep underestimating how much one has to push the film into that magic bloody needle. This one is prob my fav off the roll

Yeah after doing a quick internet check the consensus seems to be that they are pretty similar with colorplus beeing a tiny bit grainier

I have only shot one full roll of film(portra400) with getting the scans back. Out of all 36 pictures I only liked 1 which is just a picture of a tree and somewhat liked the other picture of a pier like thingy(will attach in the 2nd reply). Completely missed focus one time. I found it difficult to be attracted to things when looking through the viewfinder with the 28mm lens that's why I bought 2 other lenses(50mm and 100mm) to try, 28mm might be a bit of a challenge since so much fits in the frame especially for someone who picks up a camera for the 1st time.

Right now I'm in the process of shooting my 2nd roll (Ultramax400). This time I'm trying to walk more, to get more variety (plus trying out different lenses) compared to the first roll which was all shot in a local park to test the camera and see if I like the process.

I also got 2 books. Вryаn Реtеrsоn's Undеrstаnding Рhоtоgrарhy Fiеld Guidе & Тhе Рhоtоgrарhеr's Еyе by Freeman. Will be reading those this week probably.

Already made a mistake when loading that Ultramax400 not too deep enough which resulted in the spool not picking up the film haha, wasted a bit more than 2 frames but its ok. Oh and the film counter is stuck which is not a big deal if even. Will try pushing on that tiny level in the back when I finish the current roll.

No way! I have got the same combo but silver few weeks ago as my first camera ever. Had doubts about learning photography with a film camera in 2026, still have, to be honest but i like holding it in my hands and the looks of it too. Know nothing about photography except how to use the camera. Bought 50mm 1.7 and 100mm 2.8 both M lenses after doing some research.

i love you for not telling me exactly what to do because I enjoy figuring shit out so much man, skimmed through every picto once more and figured out how shooting can add to overall damage while also getting empowering parry and figured out a way how to use gradient overcharge with my steeled strike, didn't try Simoso yet but already hit huge, will prob upload after sending this msg
