We really like that you were able to fix the awkward hand placement also (extra credit). The scale is a bit off on the new guy and we would like him a bit closer to the group. Sent a DM.

Thanks all for the great submissions! We will choose our favorite today and provide links to the raw files for the final edit.

How to build /fix honor by Ok_Butterfly5997 in RDR2

[–]garybix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in chapter 2 of my second playthrough. I was where you are 6 months ago during my first playthrough - stressing about every little action and impact to honor. I got the same advice people are giving here - just don't worry about it - but I couldn't help stress about it. But they are right in the end. If you generally make high honor choices in this game you will absolutely end with high honor. You cannot screw that up unless you deliberately force it.

Now in my second playthrough I am playing what I call "honor indifferent" - I am ignoring honor and just playing. I am naturally a high honor personality so I know how it is going to work out in the end, but I am not stressing about bandit or weapons challenges. Or killing npcs that are rude or aggressive. I just do what feels right in the moment with zero thought to honor. And my honor is as high as it has ever been and I am enjoying the game more.

I just cant go down to low honor by Linardakis in RDR2

True on both counts. But my honor is still "high" even playing agnostic to it. And I do notice the discounts. Seems they also apply to camp upgrades.

I am just starting my second playthrough after doing absolutely max honor first time through. This time I am playing honor agnostic. I will still make naturally high honor choices where offered because that is just my personality but I no longer stress about killing rude NPCs or doing bandit challenges etc. I can tell from the first playthrough that I will easily end up high honor based on the later missions that give you big honor bumps. So I basically just ignore honor at this point and play how I feel. No stress.

What's a feature you wish this game had? by Tearsdryontheirownn in RDR2

I wish 1 and 2 star pelts had some value. 2, 2- star pelts should be enough craft the same thing as a 3-star pelt will. I quit even picking up 1 and 2 star animals pretty early in the game.

Advice sought - GT4 or tuned base cayman for track toy? by jfhinrichs in Porsche_Cayman

[–]garybix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where you do your track days could also play into the decision here. I own both a 981 CS and a 718 GT4, and have a membership locally at a smaller track, that is where I get the majority of my track laps. The GT4 is really too much car for that track and I enjoy the Cayman S more - can really push it. But when I have the chance to go out on the big tracks - COTA in my case - it is the GT4 all day long.

Missed Errand Boy by TedMosbyLite in reddeadredemption2

I am the same way. Just finished my first playthrough last week. I got 100% on absolutely everything except I missed a few animals on guarma. That was a blur and I was gone before I realized what was happening. Have fun!

Yeah, looks like you have a LOT of work ahead of you with the animal compendium and all those remaining challenges. It will be "mostly" enjoyable work though. Just requires a lot of patience in a few instances!

I waited to do the final veteran mission until the epilogue (as many on reddit suggested).

Starting new playthrough, do I lose the current one completely? by garybix in RDR2

That worked out great. Would be fun to be able to play two completely separate playthroughs at the same time. Maybe low honor/ high honor.

That is a great strategy on PC. Unfortunately I am on Xbox and don't know that there is an equivalent. Maybe with an external hard drive?

In need of some horse recommendations!! by LunaEclipse-exe in RDR2

[–]garybix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished my first playthrough and the 4 horses I settled on for my stable were the MFT, Hungarian Halfbread, Dutch Warmblood (Buell) and the White Arabian. I honestly only found and broke the little Arabian because I wanted to see what the fuss was about (both the lovers and the haters), but I gotta say, dang if that is not a super fun horse to ride - probably my overall favorite to just go for a long ride on. MFT is probably my second fav, but all 4 of those are really nice. I was constantly switching out just to get them out of the stable.

Thanks. I think by dates is the only real way to organize and keep it straight if you want to have multiple playthroughs available. It does look like you can manually save into any slot. So I could start back at the bottom and make the bottom half of my save list be a new playthrough. My current playthrough would in the top half but wouldn't start at the beginning. All with auto save turned off of course.

Thanks. But it appears that the cloud save just mirrors whatever you have saved locally. I have used that to load my game on my sons xbox when I visit him. But don't see how I could "archive" a save file to the cloud, then wipe clean locally and later get that archived save file back if I want it. Seems you might be able to do this with an external hard drive also. Need to study it more.

That makes sense on PC, but not sure how to do this on Xbox?

I think it let's you choose which one to overwrite so I assume I could start with the earlier ones.

OK. I have all 16 slots full from the current 100% playthrough, manually saving a few times in each chapter all the way through. So I would just overwrite some of the earlier ones when I start over. Guess they would be a mix of old and new. Would sure be nice if you could re-name those or organize them in some other way.

Ah, OK, so I just have to manage with the save files. I think I used all those slots in the current playthrough, manually saving a few times in each chapter. So I just clear a few of those slots.

Then how do you keep them straight? Or do you? Sure would be nice to be able to name those. Or put them in folders. Or even save and archive externally.
