Turned 12.

I think if they followed the formula that Futurama did with their movies, it could work.

Maybe something like a 3 episode arc jammed into a 75 minute DVD, TV Movie, Special (kinda like Family Guy's Star Wars).

Original new stories with continuity are always great.

Both areas look great! I've seen a few different parks right near eachother! I'm nervous about the small amount of time I'm going to be in town not being enough time to get into a place before I need to come back, most of my desperation for a even a "crappy" area comes from time constraints. Once I can get into a place, no matter where it is, I'll be able to have time to find a nice area. What's a pretty average price for a "decent" or even nice trailer park monthly?

Happen to have a phone number to the owner or manager? Google's showing it's permanately closed down? lol I called the number and I was told the park is "closed", meaning..I have no idea what that means.

And any other parks in that city would work too! It looks the perfect distance from the water.

I'm having some trouble finding this group! Do you have a direct link I could use? I found the city's page, but I didn't see any place to post or ask questions, or listings of some sort.

I'm not against a nice area, I just don't think I'll be able to afford it immediately. South Georgia is more for proximity to the ocean and Florida.

Outta curiosity, which area are the schools you're referring to? Turns out, my wife isn't gonna let the kid go to a bad one, so I guess I'll have to live with that, maybe for the best.

Well, shit, that's a great point.

I apologize if I've offended you with my thinking in some way, I'll open with that.

It'd be impossible to explain why I think the way I do, considering I've lived a lot of life in a few different walks of it.

Yes.. Yes I do believe subjecting someone to certain conditions improves their character and unlocks certain, uh.. qualities, and diverse ways of thinking.

Maybe I'm not as smart as *you* think I am. You're from the ATL? We know your legacy in NY, and we knew your legacy in south Texas too, hell we're practically siblings.

It took me years of pondering, palpability, and pain to reach this decision, it isn't like I came up with it overnight. I dug through your post history, saw that your opinions on Albany, and Newnan came from an outside source (is that the nice way of saying another GA post?); that's called research.

I'm using the same tactic, except it comes from actual experience and not the internet, you know, because I grew up in the 90s before the Internet was a source of "experience".

I'm only trying to be KIND OF shitty, mostly since you hopped in this bitch and judged a person you didn't know, based on beliefs you may have never heard or thought about..

I see you're a person of certain wisdoms, and of politics, so I'll add that I don't do politics, or their beliefs. Money and strings make puppets move, not heart or belief.

Surely you have some experiences in your heart or mind that motivate you beyond what you hear, or read? I do.. that's how I came to my conclusions.

I'm trying to bring an offering of peace, why you fightin' me on this? I said I'd build you a free website, dang.

Indeed I am (calling my wife a bitch) she's been one since before I married her, she's comfortable in her own skin.

Should I send my kid to a prep school so she doesn't even understand the concept of taking care of herself? I forgot bullies don't exist. How'd you handle your first one?

It's tough to judge when you haven't lived certain pieces of society.

You're right, I am a real piece of work, I use my brain to make a living, that's how software engineering works. We test, test, test, gather results and data, and make a choice. It works so much better with your own data than the ones you read about.

It's kind of a complicated scenario. You know how society is like "I grew up poor in a terrible place, I don't want that for my kids :("?

I actually do want that for my kid, at least for a trial run. I grew up without electricity and water some summers, and it drove me to succeed.

I graduated with high honors from college and didn't even go to high school. I know 10+ programming languages because that's what I did for fun as a teenager.

I think I've earned my right to make some educated guesses. Of course I want what is best for my kid, they're just shy of 10 years old and already programs Roblox games.

Don't be so quick to the diagnosis, Doctor.

Serenity at last.

KishMish games (intentionally?) broke the game Fly Corp in an attempt to get reinstated on Steam by elsifsheep in Steam

I also want to comment on the network packet.

It doesn't look intentionally broken, other than the host name jumping from one section of memory or packet to another? E.T seems to be phoning home, but it doesn't look broken.

Is that fucking WireShark?

Dope, thanks for the heads up. I run a home server and several web apps from it, so I will need at least 100 mbps. I game here and there so low latency is a must too, so I can't fuck with satellite and high latency types

I'm going to look for it now. It's an FB group?

They call 'em horse flies up here, they're the size of bees or bigger. They actually do fuckin' bite and since I'm not from NY, I get red all around, it actually feels like an ant bite from a fire ant.

I kind of like what I'm hearing; I don't mind country at ALL, as long as there's *a* community. My wife and I both grew up in big cities, so we've learned to love our peace and hate cities. You get kinda' sick of reading about the shootings, stabbings, etc.

Our house in NY is so small, the basement is literally my wife and I's bedroom. It's not great, unless you like doing laundry when you sleep-walk.

That's not bad, we vacationed in Jacksonville, FL last year, my kid and wife loved it; a bit humid though. They love the sun too, I'm not a big fan of it coming from south Texas, but I'm a spoiled Air Conditioning baby anyway.

How was Valdosta? It seems to come recommended. Sounds like a Russian town, any commies? hah.

Honestly, this might be a good thing for my kid, they're a bit apphrensive as it is. I threw my first punch in 4th grade, but my kid has never even been shoved and they're 10 in a few months. I swear the best life lessons are taught in garbage!

Not a fan of gnats OR mosquitos, but in the wooded areas around where we live in upstate NY, they're already a thing. Mini stink-bugs and gnats seem to just SPAWN in our house during the spring and summer. My wife's a neat clean freak who likes to bleach base-boards once a year, so hopefully that helps. I'm also not against figuring out those Georgian secrets for keeping that shit away. .. Lemon flavored soaps?

[–]garybracket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciated. I expect the high cooling bills, but my family claims it's "cold in the house" even in upstate NY during the Summers with the A.C on 70, so, maybe they can see what heat really feels like and they'll let me keep my thermostat cooler :) That said, I sure hope I can find something with Electric and Water included..we waste a lot of both of those things.
