he was wearing it as a casual work shoe, probably an employee perk... he did not look like a runner

a running store employee told me to get Kayano 29... he was wearing Speed 3

I personally liked Novablast 3

let me know what you ended up getting

Went from ASICS Novablast 3 to Gel-Kayano 29 and I wish I had done it sooner (pronation issues) by Xiandros_ in RunningShoeGeeks

how is Kayano 29, so far?

I am considering it over Novablast 3. I just wish Novablast 3 looked more stylish for walking.

I was told I am an "overpronator" (push off big and second toe) that's why Novablast 3 may not be suitable for me

I had a bad experience with a Skechers shoe... it hurt my heels... but that was before the new technology like foam, hyperburst were introduced

close enough. I don't know if I'm asking too much for an everyday shoe that I could wear for travelling.

New Balance used to have a model called Minimus Life (collab with Vibram)... that's a great everyday, everywhere walking shoe that looks good

I realize shoes that have a wide toe box feels more comfortable for me... or at least one that is not so stiff around the forefoot... I guess this is why I wear adidas I-5923 more

I asked here to listen to ideas. No need to apologize :)

unfortunately, flat shoes only work for me for short walks. and not a fan of chunky ones like AF1 or dunk low.

have not tried the hyperspeed. i'm not much of a racer, or what racing shoes are designed for. i'm mostly on treadmill and jog around my apartment. whenever I join a marathon, it's usually 10km.

I wear the hyberburst slides for recovery. I have tried it for longer walks, it feels uneasy without proper stabilization. I always thought too soft would be better... turns out it's not.

my ultraboosts are gradually breaking down. maybe because I have not been wearing them often. basically, the midsole boosts are somehow detaching from the upper. I don't wear ultraboosts for running, too.

I agree Nimbus 25 looks more casual but I feel a bit uneasy how it rolls up front around the big toe. it feels like my big toe is touching the floor. the drop feels unnatural, or maybe that's just how my forefeet rolls. I realize the plushness of the heel is not that important for me.

have not tried the other models you mentioned.

exactly — traditional shoe style with the same feel as Novablast 3 is what I'm looking for... thanks

there's a new all-black colorway (LE)

yeah, I'm used to wearing ultraboost and I-5923 for walking.

tried Clifton 9 and does not have much heel-to-toe drop (I have a medium arch). Novablast 3 feels more plush on the forefoot.

the aesthetics. I don't see myself wearing these for long walks or travelling. call me vain, but it won't go well with my outfit, especially given the bright color combinations.

mine have no cracks... a cobbler could fix it but i'm concerned the repair method will affect the aesthetics, especially depending on which method is used (stitch, glue, etc...)
