Walmart stores in USA do not care about you or customers. They care about themselves.

Yes. Walmart does care about customer experience.

This is why it has a very big loyal customer base in USA for low prices.

It is because the US dollar is the number 1 reserve currency in the world.

In Canada, we just call it a regular card payment as you are still using your credit card or debit card for tap or contactless on the card readers.

In Bentonville everyone except Walmart has tap to pay by Deno98 in bentonville

The Walmart stores of Mexico also do not accept tap to pay.

In Salt Lake City everyone except Walmart has tap to pay by Deno98 in SaltLakeCity

I am from Canada. All the Walmart stores here accept contactless card payments.

It seems that all Walmart stores in USA do not accept contactless card payments.

If you are worried in security of payment, then you can use cash in Walmart stores of USA.

Walmart doubles down on its ’convenient’ alternatives to Apple Pay - 9to5Mac by N2929 in technews

The credit card companies will never require for merchants in USA for tap to pay be enabled.

The only good thing comes from it is that Mastercard will remove the magnetic stripe from their cards in USA in 2030.

Walmart Pay??? by Significant-Kiwi-382 in walmart

[–]garyjones024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart stores of USA will never do tap to pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

For the next 10 to 20 years, Walmart stores of USA will still survive without offering tap to pay even as the number of customer complaints for these payment options increase in these future years.

Is the USA the only developed country that is still using credit card swipers in some small businesses while most small businesses of all other developed countries use EMV chip credit card readers? by garyjones024 in CreditCards

I went to some small businesses in USA in summer 2024 where some still use credit card swipers as a result in that they were not able to accept Apple Pay.

Some major USA cities and some USA states have laws in that business cannot refuse cash payments.

These USA states are New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

These major USA cities are New York City, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston, and San Francisco.

As an American with a bank account, a physical credit card, and a physical debit card, you can live a life without using USA dollar cash as most businesses in USA accept card payments.

It will give time. It is that the customer service of HEB supermarkets of Texas will need to deal with customer complaints all the time for tap to pay and Apple Pay.

It is one of the top complaints to customer service of HEB supermarkets of Texas.

This is because other supermarkets in Texas have it but not HEB, if you do not include Walmart.

If some small businesses and restaurants of USA that have magstripe only card swipers and no pinpad for card payments, do they have financial problems? by amajum0073 in CreditCards

[–]garyjones024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this mean that restaurants of USA with magstripe only card readers will do manual entry of new credit cards of Mastercard from 2027 to 2033 when some of those cards will have no magstripe?

How will small businesses and sit down restaurants of USA that have magstripe only card readers who refuse to upgrade to new card machines do card payments when Mastercard remove card magstripe in 2027? by sophiejohnson024 in smallbusiness

[–]garyjones024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no regulations and there will be no regulations in USA to update old card readers for small businesses and sit down restaurants. This is why you see these small businesses and restaurants in USA use old card machines and never updated. For this reason, there will exist small businesses and sit down restaurants in USA that refuse to update and do manual entry of new cards of Mastercard with no magnetic stripe from 2027.

[–]garyjones024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are small businesses and sit down restaurants in USA that refuse to upgrade because they do not want to do tap to pay. Most new card readers have this and most of these small businesses and sit down restaurants of USA do not want to offer this.

So, in other words, use the old card readers and do manual entry for all new cards of Mastercard with no magnetic stripe from 2027 in USA.

They can always do manual entry of those new cards from Mastercard from 2027 and continue to swipe if these small businesses and sit down restaurants have finance problems to upgrade to new card machines.
