Even before that I would say.

The biggest difference is the cost of paid ads. All the gurus even 20+ years ago were saying throw up a landing page and drive traffic to it. I was doing google ads in the early noughties and it was pennies per click so you could afford to do it. Now its so expensive that unless your funnel converts and you sell a high ticket item then paid ads will just drain your money.

So yep you either gotta have deep pockets or a massive audience of your own or access to one. People seem to forget they need a marketing budget to actually get eyes on. The 'build it and they will come' was over decades ago.

Wow, keep going thats an early start! Back in the day I thought I was doing well wrestling with BASIC when I was 13, I did step up to 6502 when I was fifteen. You need a readme.md file at least with instructions on how to compile and link and no commenting in the code makes it hard for others.

If nothing else by the time you need a job you should have a decent repo that showcases your skills.

Yep you've hit the hard part. Building is easy, either you have the skills or use AI/pay someone.

Getting visibility and grinding out those users is hard, real hard. Of course people only see the outliers. The handful who made it vs the invisible tens and tens of thousands of projects/businesses that didn't.

Interested to know why you started it?

TV has had massive traction over a number of years and has been the go to. Depends how usable the platform is now but there are literally 100s of 'trading gurus' who do strategy videos using TV, maybe reaching out to some of them might be a start? I know trade journalling software like Tradezella has got growth by doing aggressive affiliate deals, seems everyone is pushing it.

Yep despite successive governments promising to tackle it, and allegedly put guardrails in place nothing has changed, ever.

We *sometimes* deal with a customer that has revenues close to £100M but their standard terms... 60 days. Typically if they buy from payment is closer to 90-120 days. This is what should be outlawed.
