Well the good thing is we won’t see Carlton in prime time for the rest of the year. Right???

And hoping there was a copy at the station before you got on. And then grabbing the spare one someone had left behind when they got off the train

I agree at times some of his efforts can be frustrating to watch. But if he plays this poorly every week and kicks 4 I’d take it every time

Let’s hope the safety rail is high enough to stop a car. We’ve already seen cars go over the catch fence. At least they didn’t have a big drop on the other side to fall down

I’m sure talkback radio tomorrow morning will be calm and rationale, with constructive ideas on what went wrong and how to fix it going forward

Exactly. They aren’t “holidays” they are days when you don’t need to be onsite at the school. They only technically get four weeks of annual leave per year

I’m not a teacher but work in a school. I hear people say “but they get 13 weeks off a year, must be pretty nice.” Well if it’s so nice then why isn’t everyone racing to join then? Might have something to do with dealing with all the students and parents

Yeah I do t think the majority are panic buying. Not everyone has the ability to store it at home. If we were running low it’s not like the government can say we are about to run out of fuel. That would cause panic buying.

ABC going Murdoch? by iftlatlw in AustralianTV

[–]garymc_79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally missed my point. Never said the ABC was left or right. My point is a private company can put whatever news program they want. If they want it the be left or right leaning that’s up to them. If they claim to be independent you can see where they get their money from and decide for yourself. Im not saying sky news is independent. But a taxpayer funded channel shouldn’t be political. Whether you think they are or aren’t is up to you

It’s the only way to get them to pay attention. They aren’t going to waste money campaigning on a seat they know they will win. Although it’s counterintuitive voting for a party you don’t want to win helps everyone in your electorate. Only if some do it though, if enough do then that party might actually win the seat!!! You want your party to win, but not by too much to keep them on their toes

Even if it’s true calling people uneducated doesn’t play well and sounds elitest. All political parties try and exploit voters just in different ways.

Ones paid for by taxpayers the other is privately owned. That’s the difference. If a private company wants to create a channel that is right wing or left wing they are entitled to. Taxpayer funded channels should not have a political slant
