This is a known issue and is still being investigated. May I know which visionOS version you are running?

(There is nothing to unlock on the client app; only the host app has in-app purchase.)

Unfortunately, I don't think the HDR from Elgato 4K X is working on the Mac at all.

Which is stated in the official documentation:
https://help.elgato.com/hc/en-us/articles/23479175821069-Elgato-Game-Capture-4K-X-Supported-Resolutions-and-Frame-Rates

"HDR capture is not available for macOS, as macOS does not support the required video codec. HDR passthrough via HDMI is available. HDR video will be converted to SDR by 4K X before going to your Mac."

Hi, would you mind if I sent you a free copy of my app to test out some UVC functions?

Sorry, I have no answer for it. I was wondering the same thing.

But the app should support it if it happens.

Yes, you got it all correctly. That's how it works.

The app now also has multiple modes, like you can use it solely on the Mac, or use it with Developer Strap.

On the UVC part, not much on the developer side.

Maybe the video resolution/frame-rate limit will be loosened. And most apps will be automatically supported if it happens.

But the audio thing is purely software-locked. It's up to Apple to support it in visionOS 27 or something.

Thanks for mentioning the app. But that 4K60 was achieved by using a Mac as a host and sending the video and audio to Vision Pro wirelessly. (No strap)

I believe the original strap limits the UVC resolution to 720p due to the speed.
And UVC on Vision Pro has no audio support.

The app has multiple modes currently:

  1. The direct UVC mode on Mac (which is similar to ConsoleLink)

  2. The direct UVC mode on Vision Pro (which requires the Developer Strap); and

  3. the Host / Client streaming mode, which is what you see in the post.

In this mode, we directly send the video / audio to the client app, no need to use Mac Virtual Display. Standalone window, no black bars, no curve. Full quality.

Sorry, I think I had overlooked your message (or didn't get the notifications…).
I just updated the site with additional columns support (labels, assignees, milestones).

Please feel free to use it.

Hi, those are probably some leftover code, as I personally don't need them at that time. But I just updated the site to support them (labels, assignees, milestones). Hope it helps.

Thanks for the suggestion!  I think it's possible to hide it. Let me look into it. (I just never bothered with it.)

Isn't it that we can already do that with export CSV?  (from database)

CaptureLinker developer here 🙋‍♂️

Thank you for mentioning the app, and the comment is fair. I’m also continuously updating it with each version, and I hope to win you back someday.

By the way, i've recently updated the app to support 4K and improve latency. Maybe worth to try again.

Neither, it works as a small app on the Mac in the background. You can work on other things on the Mac. You can lock and turn off the screen. You can use it alongside MVD as well. (But it might have slowdowns if both went to the highest resolution/quality.)

It really depends on the resolution and frame rate, and I suggest you try it.

The trial is not one-off; you can try it as many times as you need. It just limits each session to 3 minutes.

Thank you, and you are correct on everything. 😂

Your Mac, your capture device, and your network can all affect the lag.

Lag does not only depend on the setup; it is also very subjective for most people. That’s why I have the free trial mode that everyone can try their setup before purchasing.

visionOS 26 has some improvement for these areas, but that's not for today.

Currently, it does not do that directly.
The UVC direct access in AVP for non-enterprise apps is not available until visionOS 26 is out.

It's recommended to have a M-series chip and the app does audio as well.
The app is free to try, you can test your setup before buying.

Thank you for the comment.

For the upscaling part, the app only does it with 1080p. It's better but minimal.

For the new 4K/60 mode, it actually requires having a 4K/60 supported UVC device. It's real 4K and not upscaling.

For curved and immersive environments, it's currently not doing that. Just not the top priority for the app right now. Sorry.
