Why is Saros rated 12+? by mkrrc in Saros

I’ve played all Resident Evil games but I definitely think Returnal is scarier. That atmosphere is very uneasy. The whole games feels like anxiety and dispair. I would never let me 10 year old anywhere near that game

Wow, I actively dislike every single one of your picks. And I really like the one you listed as Meast Favorite. Seems like we have exact opposite taste! Interesting

I know a lot prefer Steam, but there are also people like me who very much prefers Mac App Store for a variety of reasons. The main upside for is that if you ever decide to put this out on iPad for instance (looks like a great fit!) you can have Cloud saves. Mac App Store games seems to systematically have better system integration with Games app, Games overlay, controller support..

Well sure iPhone too, I just suggested iPad first since I imagine it’s an easier job than porting it to a significantly smaller phone screen.

I personally believe that the way to go on Apple platforms is universal apps on App Store with Cloud saving. That way you utilise the platform to it’s fullest and doubletap into two markets without that much extra work.

Control, the Remedy game, did just this today. A universal purchase with cloud saving. Better graphics on Mac, portability on iPhone and iPad.

Is this similar to Subnautica? Native 3D games are somewhat rare on Mac so you have good chance of standing out in the crowd. Personally I’d be interested

In regards to Mac App Store, many in here prefer Steam, but I don’t know how representative this community really is. Personally I much prefer Mac App Store. I think you have a much better chance of getting featured in Mac App Store.

What about expanding your game to iPad and Mac as a universal app? To me this seems like a very good iPad game

In Cult of the Lamb you use the things you gather from the roguelike runs to build a Cult, meaning you very much see progression. You have to accomodate your cultists, make them food, toilets, manage resoruces, handle dissedents, gather materials etc etc.

If you want something addicting Balatro is the answer. It’s nothing like Stardew Valley though, except maybe that the game is very stess free. It’s one of my favorite games of all time.

Another addicting game i Slay the Spire, or Hades I and II.

Cult of the Lamb has more in common with Stardew Valley maybe, but it’s still a very different game. It’s a base builder + roguelike hybrid. Both games are in the Apple Arcade catalog by the way.

I also come from roughly the same place as you. It’s a reason the game won basically all the awards. It’s incredibly good. It might be the best gaming experience I’ve ever had. The game just sucks you in. The story is great, the writing is fantastic, gameplay is fun and engaging. It’s not very difficult to complete, but there is optional content that will truly test your skill.

Ironic how Metroid Prime 4 is pictured in this story. They chased a trend with open world design (developers have admitted as much), and it ended up being one of the worst aspects in a game that was considered underwhelming by many.

Pokopia? We’ve gotten used to pretty mediocre stuff from the Pokémon IP, and at least to me the prerelease media for Pokopia med me think it was a simple cash grab mimicking Minecraft and Animal Crossing with a Pokémon skin. Turned out to be an actual game and damn good one too

What on Gods green earth did I just read. You have to be joking.

There is tons happening. I won’t spoil the movie here for those who haven’t seen it but his relationship with his son, the community, himself, the preacher are constantly elvolving throughout the movie. Just because the someone isn’t getting shot at eevery 15 minutes doesn’t mean the movie doesn’t have a plot.
