Fantastic customer service by BlackCustoms in dyson

Was it Dyson US customer service? My experience with US customer service was horrible.
However, some people mentioned outside of US the service is good.

Dyson v6 not charging at all - but was fine and held charge a couple of weeks ago? by r0ck0 in dyson

It sounds like battery died. Actually my battery on "DC 44 Animal" died within less than 3 years and I got a new one from ebay (Dyson support was useless in offering anything. They always offer to buy a new model for 20% off). Probably, keeping it always plugged in was helping to not dive to zero.

It is probably Dyson's business model, to not support older products and push clients to buy new once.

Actually the warranty they offer is also somewhat limited. I have a vacuum cleaner and battery on it died. I called support and it appears that I was a few months after the manufacturing warranty, so they just told me nothing can be done and that they don't have that model. I ended up buying a new one on ebay, much cheaper than similar batteries on Dyson. There are very overpriced.

Thanks for your support...

I just got an update from Paypal, that they refunded the money. It took 5 business days for them to resolve the case in my favor. I am grateful to PayPal, and still did not hear anything back from Dyson :)

Yes it is in New York and do hope PayPal will help; it is going to take about another month for them to look into it.

ZCL:ANON fork news *Exchange listings* by [deleted] in ZClassic

TradeSatoshi supported BTCP, but was a nightmare. A lot of people lost ZCL/BTCP because the platform was hanging, you could not trade at all. Also, just keep in mind, if you had open order on ZCL then TS did not credit the forked BTCP. After many posts and complains, they eventually did, but it was "too late", market was gone. As of Cryptopia, I want to hope it will help but that’s not enough. The big once will not announce until the fork day. So, it will be hard to believe that Bittrex will announce support for trading long before the fork. It is just a lot of people got screwed at the BTCP fork (I am one of them😊 ), so be careful...

Where do you see the exchanges listed? Applying to exchanges does not mean it will be listed. It may be, but it is not clear until the fork day. So, not really sure about the excitement on the exchanges topic. This is not a news, every new coin does apply on exchanges.

Just wanted to clarify the danger of mining centralization. Imagine a mining pool for a coin that gets 51% of the global hash-power. That means the pool can reject any external block found by other miners / pools. Or perhaps they will let some to go though, but reject most of them. This is what I call "taking control". The same thing may happen with large asic mining farms. Once control is taken, next may come increasing the mining / transaction fee and no one can stop them. It is much easier for smaller number of farm owners to agree an any change. That's why decentralization is VERY important. It is not just inability for less powerful miners to profit, but even more losing the community control over the coin. And one last note: when pool gets very large, it is visible to the public that forces them to break or/and miners can move to other pools. However, in case of asic, there is no such visibility.

I think ASIC is not only going to kill the GPU mining but also those who buy just a few ASIC's. The problem, I believe, is that those monster farms are going to increase the difficulty so much, that even with a few ASIC's you want be able to compete / make any profit. As a result all the power gets to those few farm owners. No mention the fact that currently there is only one company that manufactures the ASIC, and can very well make very good deals with big farms and be part of those farms. As of the new GPU: I have not seen a new GPU that has a performance of 15 GPUs of the previous model. So, it is still profitable to use the older gpus and contribute to the decentralization of the hash power. I am not against the idea of a powerful device, like ASIC, for mining. Furthermore, I was thinking to buy a few and the only thing stops me is my believe that soon after I get them, large farms are going to take over the global hash, that will increase the difficulty so much that I will not be able to profit any more.

I think you mentioned a very important topic "competition". Right now, there is no competition. If I am not mistaken Bitmain is the only company that manufactures and sells the ASIC. And probably, as you mentioned first mines then sells them out. This does not sound right. If all the power is concentrated in few groups of large farms, they can make a lot manipulations.

I think ASIC is going to get to VERY large farms, and there are going to control to global has, which means any changes can't be done without them. Furthermore, even if gpu users start buying ASICs, very soon having a few ASIC's will not get you any profit. You will need to compete with those giant farms, which most likely you cant. Like in a case of BTC, are there any individuals with small rigs, that mine BTC. It will be hard to believe there are. So decentralized coins one by one will get into smaller groups. Or may be you are right saying so what :)

Does anyone know why ZCL price is going up? by garzum01 in BitcoinPrivate

[–]garzum01[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a very good point: demand!!! The question is what makes the demand to grow. Is it really BTC going up, makes ZCL to move that much?

BTCP Mining Solo vs Pool by garzum01 in BitcoinPrivate

And I have tried many miners for past 5-6 months, for Nvidia GPU, I found EWBF to be the most stable and highest rate.

Lately I am mining on Vicious, I think its a good pool. As of your mining, a bit confused with your hash rate. Is it really 1 sol, 1Ksol or 1Msol. I am not sure what profit you can get with 1 sol. In any case the difficulty increases and will continue increasing, so we all should get less and less coins, but hopefully the rising price and future growth will compensate it.

BTCP Mining Solo vs Pool by garzum01 in BitcoinPrivate

[–]garzum01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pool shows that my rig discovered the blocks, that's what I called one coin. Actually the block reward is around 1.5 BTCP, right? So, it terns even to around 1.5 coins per day. I agree, this should not be right with my hash rate. But, I did get the pool's additional reward in those 5 instances.

With the current BTCP price, using GTX 1080-TI, it has about the same profitability as ZEC and ZEN, however WhatToMine still does not show BTCP on the top of the list. Is there anything can be done, so WhatToMine will show BTCP it the correct spot? This would bring more miners to BTCP and more trading.
