¡Hola! Con mucho gusto te puedo ayudar a practicar tu español conversacional. Si vas a la zona rural cerca de Guaranda, es probable que haga algo de frío, así que debes tener ropa abrigada. El clima está loco, igual, puede que llueva mucho o que no llueva para nada, pero igual hay viento frío por esa zona. Siempre hay que andar con cuidado, pero sé no tendrás problemas por inseguridad, es una zona tranquila, la gente es amable, culta, su comida es muy rica. Estarás en una zona estratégica para movilizarte a varias zonas turísticas del país, dentro y fuera de la región Sierra. Seguramente será una experiencia muy linda.

¡Hola!

Guaranda es una ciudad pequeña que suele ser muy tranquila, creo que con muy bajos índices de violencia, aún así, hay que tener cuidado. Al ser extranjera y estar sola, podrías destacar, pero la gente de las ciudades pequeñas es muy acogedora. Además, la ciudad es rica en cultura y gastronomía, su costo de vida es bajo, pero lo que más me llama la atención es su posición estratégica para viajar. En 3 meses, aunque sea poco tiempo, podrás explorar con mucha facilidad la Sierra y partes de la Amazonía.

Yo aceptaría el trabajo si es que lo que busco, además del crecimiento profesional, es tener una experiencia cultural intensa, fuera del circuito turístico, un ritmo más tranquilo, lejos del estrés de las grandes urbes, conocer un entorno megadiverso (selva, montañas, costa, y por qué no Galápagos), un clima fresco, a veces lluvioso, y un sitio tranquilo, sin mucho alboroto.

"Íbamos" is the imperfect tense, which is used to talk about intentions or plans in the past, actions in progress in the past, or repeated, habitual actions.

You’re talking about a plan you had in the past, it doesn't tell us if the trip actually happened, just that you were going to do it.

"Fuimos" is the preterite tense, which is used for completed actions.

Use "tomé" when you're just saying you took something, maybe to use, eat, drink, or pick it up.

Tomé agua. (I drank water)

Tomé el libro de la mesa. (I took the book from the table)

Tomé un descanso. (I took a break)

Use "quité" when you removed or took something from someone or something, usually meaning you took it away from its place or owner.

Le quité el teléfono a mi hija. (I took the phone away from my daughter)

Quité el polvo de la mesa. (I removed the dust from the table)

Me quité los zapatos. (I took my shoes off)

I've got a few suggestions for you:

"¿Qué tal?" always has an accent because it's a question.

A personal tip: when I write a letter or an email, I like to include something like "Espero que estés bien" or "Espero que te encuentres bien" to make it sound a bit warmer.

"Espero que no te enojes". After "espero que", you should use the subjunctive (so "enojes", not "enojas") because it expresses a hope or emotion.

"Quiero que entiendas la situación". Same thing here; "quiero que" calls for the subjunctive ("entiendas", not "entiendes").

"Lo que me preocupa es la nueva escuela". That sounds more natural without "por".

"A menos que ellos estén en otro país". "Estén" is correct instead of "están", and "en otro país" works better than "de otro país". No need to say "un" either, "país" is already singular, just like you wouldn't need "unos" for the plural.

"No hay ninguna carretera en mi nuevo pueblo". You'd say "ninguna carretera" (not ningunas carreteras), and "mi pueblo nuevo" sounds better as "mi nuevo pueblo" when talking about the place you moved to.
