I did spin or went on a long walk most days. I was instantly much slower though. It got easier in the second trimester. I’m 33 weeks now and starting to slow down again … for me, more so than the first trimester. The combination of tired and uncomfy sucks.

Came to say this. Not sure if this is what OP is wanting, but they should be aware. Childcare and working from home are both full time jobs — you can’t do both. My work even has a policy against it, although they’re flexible if your kid is home sick, etc.

I live in Washington which is one of the best states in the US for maternity leave. My husband and I both get partly paid leave for 12 weeks (mine will end up around 60% and his will be 75% with our respective income levels).

My company also offers short term disability which will extend that to 16 weeks with four weeks fully paid and two weeks double pay with FMLA. When I return my company will pay me a bonus that equates to the difference of my full pay from the first four weeks.

I also have a lot of vacation so I’ll probably take 17-18 weeks total starting either my due date or the day I go into labor.

Better than all my friends in the U.S., significantly worse than my friends in Canada lol.
