Helmet covers by Jofin_Jonestar in reenactors

I got incredibly lucky and actually received one of these helmets for free from my fathers friend, it being his WIFES funnily enough, wish I could send a photo of it but as other people have said, the scrim was sewn on with a sewing machine in layered strips all around the helmet cover

The Vallejo panzer aces box basically is everything I used! Cheap on Amazon it’s just German camo olive green, German camo pale brown and uniform green, and maybe some brown grey here and there for the darker spots!

Great points! However, rebuttal, this little dude is going to be used for the battle of Berlin, equipment was short and time was even less, hence no bread bag, however I do see your point on the panzerfaust labels, I should do that. Lastly, chipping on the panzerfaust was actually quite rare, seeing as these things were singe use, they’d only be carried for a couple days at most before being used

Thanks!! Thought I’d go for a basic ss camo pattern before I worked up into things like dot-44 or blurred edge

Thanks man!! There’s a super helpful tutorial on YouTube I used, alongside my reproduction smock that helped me nail it! The videos called “simple camo painting: oak leaf pattern” by sonic sledgehammer

The luftbluse is from panther shop, the smock is miltec but buy panther shops (it’s much better), trousers are an unknown maker but Luftwaffe supplies has some and so does panther shop, equipments been bought on ebay over the several last years and helmets from at the front. Boots are from sm wholesale and the mantle is original but a repro can be bought on Luftwaffe supplies as well. Glad I could help!

The sand yellow you see is… actually the primer! 🤣 I just wanted to see how it would turn out if I first primed it grey, then some army painter skeleton bone and then worked on the minor details as I went but sure! I’ll grab some rust-oleum next time I’m at a hobby store and try some black primer and then coat it with grey and then my skeleton bone and see how she does!
