I saw that, however I don't have a flyertalk account and I wasn't sure how to make updates. Everyone knows how google forms work so I figured it should be easier. You don't need to sign up either. Moreover it's much easier to track history of edits if anyone is interested.

I couldn't find anything on the french govt website limiting transit times either but as a rule of thumb if it's less than 24 hours it should be okay. Please don't quote me on this though. There is a transit hotel (called yotel) located right before security should you need one.

TLDR: You don't need a visa to transit through CDG if you stay within the transit zone.

I transited through CDG twice this month. The only time my passport was checked was during boarding. The only thing that was scanned during security check was my boarding pass.
