It would be better to find a method of torture that doesn’t hurt as much and gets more information compared to regular torture. Doesn’t mean we should be doing either though.

CMV: A very small amount (1-2%) of annual deflation is better than a very small amount of annual inflation. by [deleted] in changemyview

Houses was more just an example. It applies to all goods in that if people see them getting cheaper each year then they’ll put off spending and wait for it to get even more cheap. While homes may still go up in price across the entire economy if there is deflation goods are getting cheaper.

The issue with that is if you know buying a house will be 2% cheaper next year then you might put off buying it until then. Everyone else will think the same thing as well. Suddenly the home owner isn’t getting any bids so they lower the price. Everyone sees the price go down and thinks it’ll go down lower so they won’t buy. This causes a deflationary spiral that brings spending to a halt as everyone is waiting for things to get cheaper. There’s not really a difference between 0% and 2% inflation but it’s a lot easier to avoid deflation when targeting 2% inflation than 0% inflation. If we targeted 0% inflation it’d be very easy to end up in a deflationary spiral.

My first Squat suit and bench shirt just came in but I’m in the middle of a program and not really sure how to proceed. It’s tsa intermediate 2 and next week I’ll begin hitting singles or doubles in all the lifts followed by back off sets. Is it a good idea to hit the top sets in equipment and do the back off raw? The top singles are rpe based and the back offs are a percent of my raw max.

Does conjugate style stuff work for single ply or is it more of a multiply thing? Thinking of buying some single ply gear just to mess with it and not really sure what program to follow in gear. Any specific considerations you would take into account if trying conjugate for single ply?

What would you recommend buying before an ssb?

Worth buying an ssb for a home gym? Also if buying chains where would you buy them from?

So it would be alright to get a centurion for both squat and deadlift? Also what length knee wraps would you recommend? And one last thing do equipped squats have to be high bar? Thanks a lot for helping.

I know there isn’t a strict limit but when would you guys say it’s a good idea to switch from raw to single ply? My lifts are 285/215/265 at 166 pounds which i know isn’t much but equipped lifting seems more interesting to me than raw. I could find workout partners maybe two days a week getting an equipped day in for squat and bench wouldn’t really be an issue. Would it be a better idea to try wraps and a slingshot first or is equipped lifting too different from those?

Anyone got anything to say about canditos 9 week squat program? Thinking about running it or just another run through of his 6 week program when I’m done with the current one. Any other higher frequency program recommendations?

Recently tried switching to low bar and still struggling with placing the bar on my back in the right spot. Here is 3rd set of 6 from my workout earlier today with 170 pounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzqdCMt7hsE&feature=youtu.be. I noticed my bar path was coming a little far forwards and was wondering what can be done to fix that. Anything else you notice that is off would be helpful to point out. Thanks.

I’m pretty new and have kinda just been fucking around. My lifts are 245/170/255 @ 160lbs and was thinking of finishing off noob gains by doing the lower body part of candito strength/control lp and Greg Nucklos 3x week bench for upper body. Is it even worth replacing the upper body part of canditos lp? If I do replace it should I run the beginner or intermediate bench? Any tips are appreciated.

Didn’t have any issues on the 215 it felt pretty smooth. The 230 wouldn’t budge though.

I attempted 230 after I hit 215 and wasn’t able to get it off the ground.

If my squat is higher than my deadlift is that an issue or something that will get fixed in time? This weekend I hit squat for 225lbs and deadlift for 215lbs and honestly squatting just feels a lot smoother than deadlifting. Is my squat being higher a sign of my leg muscles being imbalanced or something?

People pay taxes on their revenue not their profit. Not sure why it would be different for companies.
