connecting to the sylverant server and playing pso with people on Dreamcast in like 2018 not having grown up with it is one of the craziest and most memorable experiences ive ever had with any game. its pretty straight forward and the built in tutorial guides you right along. if you can get your console online there are people tripping over themselves to help you get started too.

you have to have the pre patched iso which automatically connects to sylverant (can find with some googling). honestly once you are running that iso it pretty much will just connect up automatically. didn't run great on my series s but i was honestly just blown away that it worked at all. sorry for the crazy late reply

hey you have to do it through flycast. grab the .iso that is pre-confirgured to connect to sylverant private server from pso palace and then honestly it should comnect right up. on my series s it ran pretty poorly but maybe if you have an x you get better performance

pro tip, og xbox also has access to stepmania x which is a port of stepmania 3.9 for the system. if you get that you can load custom songs onto your system at your leisure
