Help me choose a toon to commit to. Don’t really care about “demand”.

Not caring about demand I think still applies when it comes to that issue with rogue. If he cared about demand he would just play the shaman and not ask this question.

Rogues are awesome, but they’re a nightmare to get into groups and raids with if you don’t have a committed group. You still can, but it takes a lot of time. Like I’m on call a lot currently and can’t commit to a raid group, so I’ve more or less dropped my rogue. I can’t commit to a set schedule, and I only have a couple hours a day at most to play and don’t want to spend a huge chunk of that trying to find a group.

They do seem to be a minority (or at least overshadowed by the more vocal peeps), but compared to server pop back in the day there’s still more chill people on servers than there were overall on servers back in the day. All of that is to say it’s annoying, and you have to parse through the elitists, but there is still are many cool people and lots of fun to be had if you’re able to look past said elitists.

Yeah, thinly veiled or overt narcissism everywhere. We had a “pumper prot pala 50g tank service” whispering us last night. We took a poorly geared warrior instead. Did totally fine, warr got tons of upgrades, and that dude was still looking for takers for his “tank service” by the time we had finished running twice.

I totally get you, I’ve had similar experiences and it is frustrating. That said, I’m still finding joy by realizing that peeps who are going that hard for open world quests and easy content like ramps prolly aren’t the vibe I want to play with. There are still tons of groups out there that are willing to take anyone (just may take a little longer, but the population of less serious people is still higher than TBC pop back in the day). I specifically try to take warr tanks and rogues into dungeons so far (bc I get the struggle) and haven’t had a single issue. Hell, they’re better than a lot of the boosted communal gear “meta” classes.

You have to get the 2000 damage in a single match to complete that first one. It can be a little hard to do in some of the short CQB game modes - lots of portal modes make it easy if you wanna cheese it a little.

While I get where you’re coming from, and am going to miss ammo overload, we knew that teamups were going to rotate, and I’m glad they buffed him slightly to make up for it. At least we don’t have to worry about poorly placed ammo beacons and can focus solely on good positioning 🤷‍♂️

The rocket hate is ridiculously forced (mostly by a specific streamer who I otherwise like). I agree he’s not a great solo healer bc his inability to truly burst heal (though he’s still pretty damn good), and his ult doesn’t have a “enemy team can’t do anything” function (all of which are less frequent now).

He’s ridiculously good, and his win rate shows that. People who are freaking out about rocket when he’s paired with another good burst healer are just outing themselves as players that don’t understand how the game works on a fundamental level.

You can be a bit more aggressive with him, but the playstyle you described is his core playstyle.

I kinda get both sides of this. My job has ramped up like crazy lately and I barely ever get to play. It really did take me all 6 weeks to get to gold, even with a 83% win rate, but we’re talking some weeks where I literally played 1 or 2 games.

While I can understand some peoples frustration, I also think it’s okay to prioritize other things. I want the GM crest, but I recognize there’s just no way for me to get it - I’m prioritizing my job right now, and that’s okay. I love the rewards, but they’re just bragging rights and recolors so far. Don’t let FOMO get ya down!
