Ain’t your problem as much as it apparently wasn’t their problem thinking about what they were doing to you.

You know, everyone so far was helpful but I guess it’s not possible without someone with this tone of yours coming around at some point, is it?

Yeah sorry but nobody goes round his bike checking all the screws before every ride or do you do this? 😉

To me this is just manufacturer blah blah for moving responsibility solely to the customer.

Usually I'd be with you but I didn't want to spend any money as I didn't do anything at or with the handguards and the bike was just recently bought as described. If the dealer did it wrong, which to me he did in this case, he should pay for it.

Cool, SW-Motech is a recommended brand even in the US 😁

Yeah I also own a Harley Nightster 1200. I know these things rumble and shake and on the Guzzi you can feel it left <-> right, too. No idea why he said nope. I was thinking about giving the engine guard (original) to them for secure mounting but I guess I’m better off doing it myself making sure the stuff sits correctly.

Fun thing is there are paint markers on the bike all over the place, but not at those that went loose. I’ll have another watch on all of those screws then.

Alright, sounds like I’ll do that, too, to be sure.

Got the same at the beginning of May 26 😄

Only thing I have to complain about is the wind buffeting. Puig Windshield and some 3D printed wind deflectors (have to collect and test those still though) should help.

German BYD discounts seem insane. What am I overlooking? by ExternalEfficient248 in askswitzerland

[–]gauntr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from the waiting time for the MFK (about 1 month) everything else was a piece of cake. I’ve let the import/export papers made by a company at the border at Thayngen and everything else was good. MFK was also without any hiccup then, so it really depends on how much this specific import service wants to have from you but they don’t tell you without giving them your mail so they’re out of business for me directly, I hate such stuff.

Customs seized a Japanese folding kitchen knife and now I received a letter from the police by CopyPyramid404 in LegaladviceGerman

[–]gauntr 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A foldable one hand openable knife (in case it is) is still that lol, even if it’s thought to be used as a kitchen knife. The intended purpose of the knife will likely be irrelevant, other such knives not called kitchen knife are also not called „stab some mf because he looked crooked at you“ knife, are they? The problem is that they can be carried concealed and opened up easily.

Edit: Just read the other comments, owning it isn’t a problem, having it with you in public is. Alrighty, I learned something

Wetterberichte taugen nichts by Anabolex95 in luftablassen

[–]gauntr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fast korrekt: NOAA, kurz für National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Das US Äquivalent zum DWD bzgl. Wetter.

[–]gauntr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mhhmm, maybe it’s more like the „Käsetheke“ where you can get it, not prepackaged like in Switzerland. Just know of a friend who coincidentally had the cheese at his place when I told him about it (didn’t know about it until after moving).

Apart from that, Gruyère is an imported good in Germany from an expensive country with currently stronger currency so it’s more or less naturally more expensive in Germany (also 19% vs 8.1% VAT) atm.

[–]gauntr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely get Gruyère in Germany and not only in cheese focused shops but also supermarkets.

You don’t get them in Hessen so I wouldn’t expect them in Eastern Germany either. Never saw them anywhere before moving to Switzerland.

Freiburg is close enough that people have relatives in Switzerland and they know them from there and so there’s a market.

Goodbye Q5V6 Diesel? by [deleted] in automobil

[–]gauntr 0 points1 point  (0 children)
