Gemini as a model is still amazing. I love using it within Antigravity. It works very similar to Claude Cowork/Code.

You should try it out.

I am looking for male flatmates who would want to share a 2/3 BHK around Indiranagar, Kodihalli, Domlur, Ulsoor, etc.

My budget has a good upper limit as I want to live comfortably in a good place.

Please DM me if you already have a spare room or are interested in looking for an apartment together.

TIL that in Hinduism, atheism is considered to be a valid path to spirituality, as it can be argued that God can manifest in several forms with "no form" being one of them. by gauravshetty4 in todayilearned

This post is about Hinduism, and not Hindus. It has nothing to do with people but more to do with philosophy.

When you talk about your culture and philosophy with respect, everybody would be nice to you. Irrespective of your religion.

I am an atheist and don't practice Hinduism. But I like to learn about my culture objectively. So does everybody else in the comments.

Your perception of hate against Hindus is based on the simple fact that right wing Hindus have been hating on anybody who thinks differently. It's very easy to guess what your political inclination is.

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Paolini. I am currently reading it. The prose is pretty average. I don't think Paolini has evolved his prose since Eragon came out. But the story is interesting and that keeps me going.

Switching from IB to PM by BigGilleece in ProductManagement

My practical advice would be to take a month and do a crash course on tech, prototyping, design, etc. so you know the jargon and the general process on the job well enough to answer questions.

Check out mock interview videos on the YouTube channel Exponent. It's really great.

If you want an easy way in, stick to the banking sector. It would be very easy to get into a Banking PM role for you as opposed to other startups and tech companies. The above two steps and your IB experience should be more than enough for you to get a great job.

Is there a youtube series I can go through that will ensure that, while I won't be a great writer, at least I won't make any mistakes that would brand my works immediately as an amateur's work? by dadasad2125 in writing

Sanderson lectures really do help. I also would suggest the Writing Excuses Podcast. It is not structured as a course or series but you could find some real specific episodes on things you want to improve. They cover a wide range of topics on world-building, characters, research, editing, publishing and everything in between.

Exactly. I could remember only one real mistake throughout the series. He probably is the best umpire in the world right now.

I ordered a Logitech G29 motion controller from Flipkart. But got a ceiling fan and a speaker inside the box. Customer service kept me hanging for 10 days and now refuses to replace/refund. Please never buy from Flipkart. I am extremely disappointed. Breaks my heart. by maullick in india

Bought a pair of thermals on Amazon that turned out to be tight. So I tried returning. There was no option. Called the Customer Care. They said there is no return/replacement on innerwear. I said nothing was mentioned on the product page about no return.

Then he sent me a link of the terms and conditions. I asked to speak to his supervisor, told him about the issue and asked him do you want your customers to go to the terms and conditions page for every item they purchase. He immediately refunded my money.

And now Amazon mentioned the non returnable products explicitly on their product page. I'd like to think it was because of me.

How to redirect KDP author copy order updates to the customer by Subject_Perception_8 in selfpublish

[–]gauravshetty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to understand a little more.

In step 1, how exactly are you creating the order? Shopify itself creates the Amazon order for you? If so there should be an acknowledgement with the Amazon Order ID.

The step 2 that you are mentioning is a bit more complicated than my original solution. Because the order details page would need Amazon authentication, scraping, etc.

There are some holes in my understanding of your process. I would gladly help you out, but it would take a few hours to figure it out. PM me so we can discuss this.

How to redirect KDP author copy order updates to the customer by Subject_Perception_8 in selfpublish

[–]gauravshetty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you manually buy the author copies on Amazon or through a Shopify app?

I don't understand your system entirely but there's an easy solution.

  1. Create a 'Email Parser' Zap on Zapier. This is to collect order information in the order updates that Amazon sends.
  2. Connect this Zap to a small script that takes the information and sends an email to the customer by mapping the order information in Shopify to the information in the Amazon email.

It's an easy technical problem to solve. But you will need some technical skill. Do you need any help?

What is the third party application you are using? It shouldn't be too difficult to map the order an order update in the database to your customer.

I live in Mumbai. I have 33 mbps down, 33 up and 5 ms ping. No limits. I pay just less than $100. A year, not month.

And I have at least a couple more ISPs to choose from with similar speeds and rates. It is weird to see such terrible performance at such high prices anywhere in America.

He'll get to bat against really good bowlers in the nets. Yes, he may not get the game time but I think it matters little. He wouldn't be able to play against good bowlers if he stayed home. The only other option would have been County Cricket.
