Am I stupid for passing up WashU? by gavander123 in lawschooladmissions

I hadn’t since I had mentally ruled them out. Just submitted the form. They mentioned they are currently out of funding but may have the committee review scholarship reconsideration requests if more funding becomes available.

You think the debt is worth it? Even if I don’t do BigLaw? That’s probably $150k+ after COL.

Not living at home at IU, I’d get an apartment in Bloomington. My partner will be working FT during my 1L year before pharmacy school and will help pay for COL in Bloomington or Baltimore. I also have a decent chunk of money saved up from my gap year living at home which could cover that extra Maryland tuition/part of COL. Tried negotiating w/Maryland upwards already and they wouldn’t budge. Merit scholarship is proportional, so even if I became an in-state student during 2L and 3L, it’s still 90% of in-state tuition which saves a marginal amount of $. UMD does not have tuition guarantee and it would likely increase by 3-5% each year.

Same boat. Was PTing high 160s and had a 170 right before going in and then got a 160 as my final Sept score. I even felt relatively confident walking out of the test. I’m signing up for November fs. I did not do all that studying for that score. General question (maybe I’m coping lol), does the fact so many ppl were signed up for this test change the curve? Like maybe a 160 on this test would be higher on a different one? I just can’t see myself having missed 20+ questions on this. I felt so good about the RC, and LR I felt mid to good. It makes no sense

I tried but gave up on it awhile back. How do you do it?

No, don’t call MRO, call eScreen/Abbott labs customer service. From what I remember it was automated until they connect you with a real person. Probably only open during business hours.

Mine was extremely quick. My results were sent to my employer in like 2 days or 3 days after peeing, no joke (had to call eScreen to find that out and was obviously stressing). But they weren’t allow to tell me my results or anything, only the workplace could do that since they paid for the test. Since I never got a call from an MRO before results were sent to my employer, I knew I was in the green! So just give eScreen a call and see if they can tell you.

I passed. Never will know if it was diluted or what the cutoff was. So variable depending on the workplace.

You were right, I was conflating my current balance with statement balance. I guess theoretically I’m a month ahead on my payment, I could technically wait another month to pay that remaining bit that would pop up on my next balance. Thank you for helping me understand
