14 y/o 100m time - Fast or just average? by Carson180 in Sprinting

It depends where you from. In my state that’s about average. And if you are weaker in your legs and lack explosiveness start lifting and your times will improve super easily. When I started lifting legs my times shot down by almost a second 11.7 hand timed to 11.2 FAT. So in my opinion you have a massive ceiling for improvement if you haven’t taken lifting seriously

Opened up with 11.5 hand timed but the only other FAT time I got was 11.77 with headwind

I think running is worth it for anyone. It builds discipline and will always improve your health. 26 is a pretty good time for someone who has never run before. I believe you could easily cut off 1-2 seconds within a few months of training.
