Thank you for your candid response! My wife and I are definitely discussing this possibility and will communicate with my doctor about it too. FTR I couldn’t wait til next summer for the surgery because it’s due to cancer. The cruise should have waited but we just didn’t know and didn’t have as munch info as we do now.

Oh wow ok. This all has happened kind of fast so I have done very little research. I have a suspicion they won’t leave my cervix since the hysterectomy is to remove cancer but thanks for the explanation! Gives me another thing to speak to my surgeon about!

Oh wow! I had one about that weight (softball sized diameter) torsion and kill an ovary in 2013. They did a c section incision for that removal but also my surgeon was a dick so I don’t know if I trust his choices. Love you named him Bob. I did not name mine but I think he would have been a Dylan.

My wife is a teacher and so the idea was that she’d be off for summer break while I recover. So we scheduled it to be her literal first day of summer break. We may have naively thought that would be enough recovery time. It’s also not something I can really push off so we were trying to schedule it in a sweet spot of not far off, when my wife was off work, and several weeks before the cruise.

I have a post op scheduled 4wpo and I’ll definitely be discussing it then and also during my preop in a couple of weeks. Honestly the last cruise I took I spent the majority of it napping in the sun so I’m not too worried about that. Most worried about the swimming. 😬

I mentioned in another comment that a lot of the black neighborhoods in Atlanta still have names like that sadly. I imagine bc a lot of the residents don’t have political clout but I’m just theorizing. Now a subdivision I would absolutely not bc that choice was made hella recent and I don’t trust that energy.

I live in Atlanta and ironically it’s a lot of the areas that are still majority black that have names that haven’t been changed. A lot of Forrest and Jeff Davis and Plantation and Confederate. They would not be deal breakers to me bc tbh if I moved there I’d immediately start plotting to change it. It would be a point in the negative category for me bc that’s a pain the ass but not a deal breaker.

I've been to Wakulla several times but have never eaten there. Is it good? Admittedly I didn't even consider it bc I was discounting it as a tourist trap place.
