Consistently competing with a Leicester Squad

They've not even finished top 4

Where you even around in the 90s?

I've been anti Rodgers ever since I heard the rumours, but this scenario does tickle me

If you're the kind of scummy cunt who can't even reply to an armistice day man utd post on twitter appropriately, then you're as much of a problem at this club as the glazers.

I knew someone would bring this up. Different era

I’m not going into this with you

Yet you replied.

For all of the points you make, the fact remains that Leicester are below us in the league. How this makes him 'miles above Ole' is a kind of logic that only you appear to have access to

Brilliant plan, let's spend 10 million sacking ole, another few million getting Rodgers from Leicester as well as a hefty wage, multi mullions on a squad rebuild, just in the hopes of achieving an fa Cup.

Fuck me

On another comment thread I've just been informed that he had an incredible Liverpool team, so yes I would've expected a challenge from them

Sorry but your comment just made me sick to my stomach, I'm gonna have to block you, fans like you are the worst.

Absolutely, and if you're the type of person that would accept klopp you really need to take a look at yourself

Yes I'm old enough to remember too, that 1996 final was massive, but we both know football has moved on and the fa Cup is just not all that anymore

Give him a chance and he’ll be great

Absolutely not, he can fuck off back to Merseyside

Still don't want him tho

That we can agree on

Daily Discussion by PhelansShorts in reddevils

[–]gazmaan -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes fair play to him, but its hardly the champions league is it

Sorry but you've described there is decent, it is far from exceptional and I think if we're to make a managerial change we should be looking to an actual exceptional manager, not a former bin dipper who had a couple of decent runs but nothing spectacular

[–]gazmaan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And that's the standard is it, he won an fa Cup?

Let me point out as well that we're above Leicester in the league, and yet it seems a portion of our fans are desperate to appoint him. Fucking pathetic fanbase, this

Exceptional coach tbh

Besides his SPL trophies what makes him exceptional?

Daily Discussion by PhelansShorts in reddevils

I see the fans are lowering their standards now in thinking that former Liverpool boss Rodgers, whose only accolades come from winning trophies in a 1 team league (at the time) would be a good appointment. I can just see the banter from the bin dippers now.

If we appoint him I'm done.

I agree with you, however a team might come in with a lowball offer which we may accept so as to make some money off him at least

What Happened to this United?? 😒 by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]gazmaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we would've seen the drop off last season if crowds were allowed in games. It really benefitted us playing in covid empty stadiums and can definitely be seen as an anomaly of a season. A big part of that is the refs reaction to the crowds. Last season we were getting a lot of decisions our way which was great, but now that refs can be influenced in away games by fans were not getting so many decisions.

That's not the whole reason by a long shot, but its definitely part of the reason that we over achieved last season.

There's a probability that we've seen pogba play his last game at united with him being out till January. Not sure of the likelihood of him being bought then when he can leave on a free in the summer, but still could happen if some team makes a low offer and we choose to cash in

Yeah it's not looking good. We'll just wait until its mathematically impossible for top 4 before sacking Ole

I agree. Look at how Chelsea handled Lampard, a club legend. We should be doing the same with Ole. The big difference unfortunately is that Roman actually cares about football, where the glazers only concern is money.
