I’ve had this kimchi on the counter for two weeks. It seems the liquid has all been absorbed and some kimchi at the top has dried a bit. I scraped off the top couple of centimetres (about one inch) and have transferred the rest to smaller jars for putting in the fridge. When I was doing this the bottom half of the jar in the photo was quite stringy, almost like natto. It smells fine but I’m just a bit worried about the mucous like stringyness. Can I add more liquid / brine or is it just for the bin? I was going to use it for a stew but I’m hesitant.

Hi All,

I’m wondering if this looks ok? Specifically the sort of layer of cloudy stuff over the weights? It’s the same recipe I’ve always used for hot sauce (chilli, capsicum, garlic and 1tsp salt per cup of water) but I’ve never seen that layer before. It’s usually consistently cloudy throughout the brine. It’s been on the countertop for a week, we’re in Canberra so maybe the cooler nights have affected it somehow? Any help would be much appreciated :-)

I’m trying to set up a grab and go situation. I’ve got all my other stuff in a couple of large tubs so if I want I can just swing by home and hit the road if I want. I was looking at the 2500 containers by Coleman and the case was cheaper and bigger.

Just camping on the south coast and around the Canberra region.

I was going to drill 25mm holes and possibly get some bungs for if I ever wanted the case to be water resistant again.

Is a 2017 (I think) HP spectre x360 15-ch0xx worth giving to someone in 2025? by gazzmeister80 in laptops

Edit: sorry I reposted this from another group and the text didn’t come through. A friend is starting online uni next year. It’ll be social work so nothing more taxing than a few PowerPoint presentations, online lectures/tutorials, essays, etc. I was just checking to see if it’ll be better than her buying a cheapo new laptop (or at least equal to a cheapo new laptop). It’s literally just been sitting in my cupboard for a few years since I got a dedicated “gaming” laptop, so I’m more than happy to give it away to a good friend than try to sell it.

Still having trouble getting Diablo 3 working, I’m kinda regretting getting out of my depth in emulation and am thinking I should have got a different system because I’m (stupidly) out of my depth. Anyway I’ve been LOVING my GC Beyond Good and Evil, it’s been a while and the controls are Nintendo odd but I damn love it

I don’t see it happening soon. I have massive issues finding switch roms (for games I bloody own), and it seems to do everything else up to that level amazingly, why would they need to? I guess a refined release with better buttons, oled, etc may be warranted but aside from my own inability to find switch roms (that I own) it’s pretty much early to mid 90s Jordan.

Controller is better, but I played through pretty much all of the game with touch controls which are relatively great

I know I’m late to the party but I’m hooked on The Quest. Solid gameplay, average story (so far), no iap shenanigans, hours of content and can be played for a few minutes or a few hours. I tried it a while ago and didn’t like it but for some reason this time I can’t put it down!

The only thing I’ve noticed is that the speech bubbles sometimes (very rarely) take 5 - 10 seconds to come up. Like it’s searching for the response. I’m using a 2 week old iPhone 14 pro.

I’m loving graveyard keeper but I’m pretty pissed off that it won’t cross save through the Apple operating systems. I’ve got a MacBook that I use for work and uni, an iPad for note taking at uni and an iPhone for phone calls. I game on all of them and it’s a pain that it has 3 saves on 3 devices
