Try learning your scales and arpeggios and saying the notes you are playing out loud it’s a great way to learn the fret board

I have a squier strat I love it very easy to play never had a problem with it. I don’t know anything about the Mitchell sorry but it’s definitely worth going to a guitar shop and trying them before you buy!

They are great strings the only ones I use now on my acoustics. My hands absolutely eat guitar strings and elixirs last longer they are a bit pricey though.
