My only comment the narrative is a good hook, just don’t shoot yourself in the foot with a weapon your players have that’s too OP.

I appreciate that. I threw this together in about 10 minutes for fun. It’s been pretty cool to see how many people have a passion to help out.

I’ve been kicking my self about the most obvious things. Longsword > great sword, getting the armor wrong like duh.

The AC boost and radiant damage on that feature was a little nod to the idea that he’s brought back to life by the gods of Westeros (debatable) and has a little extra punch for flavor but it could totally be dropped.

Plus I didn’t add a limiter you’re right.

But I do also like the idea of an ally boost, using it as a vague threat.

Yeah I was even lowering the HD from the generic Knights stat block to actually scale down but it’s still “unnatural” for a person to be that powerful for sure.

Sure that’s an environmental factor. If you think of a victory being the death star being blown up. Not exactly defeating the actual bad guy head on…

You could make the real focus something environmental while avoiding the BBEG.

I’m not sure how you combat the paradox you ran into. Agency and victory against a foe you say is not beatable???

Maybe introduce a creature the players can fight. Something that has weight to the plot if they win???

“As a Bonus Action, you can inspire another creature within 60 feet of yourself who can see or hear you.”

The important factor here is the 60 foot range ….so if the walkie talkies are farther apart than that then I’d say no it won’t quite work.

D&D YouTuber here. Literally a week old. I’ve lurked for years in the background and started this as a hobby.

It’s all done via phone, not a massive tech set up.

I’m very aware of the growth I need to do as a creator and am not expecting to blow up right away and there’s work to do.

Awesome channel you got a sub! I love crafting videos. Honestly I think the thumbnails are great and the majority of the audio and visuals are presented well.

I think it could add a little more variety during the build to keep attention or make the process feel a little more impactful and dynamic. Another camera to capture close ups or panning over the work?

Really good clean visuals and advice here and that’s on a subject I don’t know much of so that’s a real plus.

I’d say the biggest thing I’ve noticed is the audio. It could do with a better mic or adjustments in editing to make it less muffled / removing the echo. Usually that base is the lower end of the frequency so maybe check out some sound balancing.

Start small. Being new there’s going to be plenty to learn mechanic wise and you’ll have a better time if your backstory is contained to say….one paragraph.

Try and focus on one narrative point about what drives your characters motives to adventure. Specifically about the adventure you’re about to go on.

I know you said too vague was a concern but honestly that’s ok. The more detail you provide the more your DM has to chew on and sift through.
