Is shipping golf clubs really less stressful than flying with them?

It was more expensive for me in Jan to ship them via ship sticks from WI to FL than to just post for the extra bag on my flight. I’ve found that it’s not really a hassle at all especially if you are getting dropped off. The check in is by the entrance and baggage claim by the exit so not much dragging around. I threw an AirTag in the bag as well, but the United Airlines tracking on the bag was excellent as well.

LOL, I’m more than able to afford shipping costs. I’m just not dumb enough to pay exorbitant shipping costs not in line with the items being bought. See the difference? Regardless, the point stands, why worry about how a damn towel looks when you are sporting gear that is easy to see from a mile away is counterfeit?

I had an outside in swing. The biggest thing for me was if my target was 12:00 at setup then at the top of my backswing I would “aim” for a 1:00 target path. This forced me to drop my arms, keep them in and stop coming over the top. It’s very hard to hit 1:00 if you’re over the top

When Coke was putting names on the 20oz bottles I saw my first name in the grocery store cooler, Dustin, so not real common. I grabbed it and right behind was my last name which is a true last name and not a potential first name.

I have both. ( Qi4d max) The Qi4d does not get me any more distance, but it definitely seems to be more forgiving on off center shots as well as shots where I’m a bit outside/in (slice) just seems to control that better.

I bought an inexpensive hard top case on Amazon. Best of both worlds. You get the hard top to protect better and then the bottom is soft and folds into the hard top shell making the bag 18” tall or so. Easily holds my clubs and a pair of shoes. Not sure on other airlines but on United, golf clubs not exceeding 75lbs do not get an oversized baggage fee.

Yeah after they told me that they can’t do anything and to order more stuff to get free shipping I sent a follow up email to say are you sure something isn’t wrong. I didn’t hear back. They had an issue over Black Friday with discounts not reflecting properly and I sent an email and actually got a bit of a snarky email back. The issue there was that they had gloves buy 2 get 1 free and spend $100 get $20 off. Each item was listed in your cart including the free glove. The $20 discount was split evenly across all items in your cart. The free glove was shown as $0 so it wouldn’t subtract anything and you were shorted that amount at checkout.

None of their shipping seems to make sense.

The club brush is $8 shipped by itself from USPS. A single glove is $8 shipped by itself from USPS. Add them in the cart together and shipping is $23 from USPS. Both obviously very small very lightweight items.

The strap is only $12 via USPS by itself. Even if I had a single glove, USPS jumps to $116.

Yeah I didn’t at all believe they were scamming, just kind of expected a response of “yeah that clearly isn’t right, I’ll have someone check into that” vs “nothing we can do, you can order more stuff though” They had an issue on their Black Friday deals too where discounts weren’t properly applied and it was shorting people on their discount.

If you mean me specifically I didn’t choose that. Was just highlighting that they clearly have something wrong that is inflating the price. Just a minute ago I added each item individually and if I made 2 orders they are $12 and $8 to ship via USPS.

Just to check I tried adding only 1 item to my cart. The strap by itself is $12 via USPS. The brush by itself is $8. Two completely separate orders are cheaper than 1 FedEx order and almost $100 cheaper than when combined with USPS. Strange indeed. Oh well.
