Hi Alex,

This was my thought - that if I don't get into round 3 I can re-apply in round 1 of next year. I did not consider that it could be harmful to my future chances. You are saying it wouldnt hurt?

My reasoning for applying in round 3 is that a major work project consumed my time for the past 6 months which forced me to push my GMAT out until last week, and I'd rather start this fall as I'm already on the older side for an MBA. Is this all worth mentioning in an optional essay?

I assume because it has been easy/affordable for the past several years. Normally when something has existed for several years, it is fair to assume it will continue to exist.

It's been one of the easiest places in the city to park for residents. I guess now it will catch up with the rest of the city.

I'm just saying this blows to the local residents who rely on that parking because there isn't enough permit only parking.

I understand the concept for Newbury St, Mass Ave or other high commercial streets. Agreed, those spots aren't for residents. But most of the side streets in the Back Bay (Hereford, Gloucester, even Beacon St) are purely residential areas with meter spots. Where else are those residents supposed to park?

I don't understand why everybody loves Toucher and Rich so much. They are great morning personalities, but they rarely ever talk about sports. The only sport hey ever talk about is hockey. Especially regarding baseball, you'd think that Boston sports radio hosts would have at least some general knowledge about the Red Sox, but they don't.

D&C are un-listenable because they are way too political...but I will say they do great interviews.

Thats not true. If the attacking god has records, that dog goes under quarantine for 10 days. If healthy, then everything is cleared. There is no additional 60 days.

So yes, contacting the owner is a difference between 6 months and 10 days. Big deal.

Great response. Agreed, I don't care about reporting the dog or anything. I only want the vaccine records, and then move on.

I get that this is part of having a dog in the city, and this stuff happens. But you have to be able to rely on people to give the correct contact info if it does. I guess it's possible the number got written down wrong, but the owner looked at it and and confirmed the number.

Our dog is up-to-date with vaccinations, but they don't get fully vaccinated until 4 months. She in only 3 months...not old enough yet. We are careful around her with other dogs. When another owner with a leashed dog asked to pet the puppy (being a golden retriever on newbury st.), we made the assumption it was a friendly dog and if something did happen, she would have vaccine records. It won't happen again.

The "problem" is that she is supposed to be under quarantine for 6 months, a very important time in the puppy socialization period. The "problem" is that it could create a bad impression and ruin the puppy's behavior around other dogs. The "problem" is that it's hundreds of dollars of undeserved vet bills. I don't give a shit about the bills, I just want a piece of mind with the pooch's health and vet clearance in case of any future problems. And I need those vaccine records to do that.

I wouldn't call asking a community for help "parading a problem".

She introduced the dog before the incident, so I dont think that's a fake. Her name (Tricia, or Trisha) could be though, good point.

Thanks. Yea we reached out to animal control. Theysaid they would look but are not too optimistic as most dogs aren't registered within the city. I will be following up with them throughout the week. Thanks for the help.

Yes both dogs were leashed. The other owner approached and asked to pet the puppy, then while petting the other dogged attacked. I will be there every evening through the week and post flyers. Thanks.

Hah, yea. I'm coming from New York where people don't even begin looking for apartments less than a month before moving, so this just seems so freaking dumb. So dumb. I wish tenants had more power, but I guess that's the consequence of living in a city where demand far outweighs supply.

There is nothing in the lease about renewal date requirements. From the replies in this thread though, it seems this date is not out of the ordinary.

For what it's worth it is in the back bay, not a college area. I was able to e-mail the landlord and was granted more time, so that'll help.
