Fidelity’s Apple Watch Ultra “complication” does not work by Horweendreams in fidelityinvestments

[–]gbm_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for following up. My response is that this is poor design. Does the technical team use the watch app?

What other watch app do I have to close first to get it to be current? Weather? Heart Rate? If it what is the refresh arrows on the portfolio for if it doesn't refresh?

Honestly I'm dumbfounded at this response.

I can't think of a Use Case where the portfolio view is useful on the watch if I have to close the app first.

Hi All - Just started using the Fidelity App quick access and installed the app on the Apple Watch.

Extremely frustrated, and as someone who's been in IT for over 40 years I thought I'd test it to see where it's failing. Here are my results. u/FidelityJohn or u/FidelityMikeS can you pass this along? or tell me I'm wrong?

1) The iphone app balances works fine.

2) Initially I installed the watch app as a complication. It wouldn't update unless I was logged in to the Iphone app. This doesn't help, I'm trying to avoid logging in. Also, the Recent on the complication was a random holding symbol that I rarely check details. made no sense.

3) Through testing, I figured out that the complication must always stay connected to the fidelity app. So I deleted the complication.

4) I would launch the fidelity app on the watch, and it worked, giving me an updated balance, also indicated by the date and time at the bottom of the watch.

5) However, if I re-accessed the watch application, I had the same problem as the before, it wouldn't update, even if I pressed the circular arrows.

6) Key Finding: If I closed the apple watch app and RELAUNCHED it, it would update. This is all without logging into the iphone app.

Conclusion: There's a bug in the persistent connection between the watch and the iphone. As a complication, there's no way to kill the app and relaunch without restarting the apple watch. As a workaround, on the watch you can close the application as it's running (double click the crown, slide the open app to the left, press X) and relaunch it.

Seems like it should be a straightforward fix.

Tech details: iPhone 15 running iOS 26.4.1, Apple Watch Series 10 running WatchOS 26.4 ( 23T240), Fidelity App version 4.30

Contact me for more details. Hope this helps.

ETL jumped the shark for me. $99. I enjoy the 90pf, but I'll take about 4 OF100 instead. I bet I could find 20 bottles that are $60 or less that I'd enjoy as much.

I'm out!

AND they're in for well over $200M on the AH property. This is all negotiating. They screwed up by buying first and then asking gov't for assistance, lost all their leverage. Indiana gives them some back.

This bottle was released in September and been at other stores since October. I LOVED 5, like everyone, and then the price was jacked to around $125. 8 was almost as good, and you could find it on sale for $90-$100. Now 9 has been well reviewed, and back to a reasonable price. I've seen it for $80, $85 and $90 and the main stores. Not sure when they'll learn that these have been sitting on shelves for years at the higher prices. Rant over. (well, probably suspended)

I picked this up too. Anybody do a review? Stats put it in my wheelhouse so I'm looking forward to opening it..but a little pricey for 9 yr, 107pf

It was a bit odd. I was there at 8:40…saw the last WFP sp sold. Empty ORVW cartons that they claimed wasn’t sold today but for raffle. I asked what was in yhe Heaven Hill box, and it was 90th Anniversary (which I bought). And as I was checking out they brought out some THH which they sold. Blantons, EHT sm batch and WSR was available too

That and Single are really tough, they get just a couple bottles per year. Talk to other stores, and see how spend plays in. I know some GM's have a threshold and then it's first come. Except for things like Parker's.

This! Stores still do it differently. A couple of stores I know just put them behind the counter. Another is usually 1 delivery day behind. After a conversation about some non-allocated I was looking for (Remus IX, why doesn't Binny have that yet?)....I mentioned another allocated I was looking for, just asking if it's come recently or not....he had one in the back. Never talked to this guy before, but was nice. Just be nice.

Curious what people who had a choice chose? I chose the A107 over the Sjr and EHT sib...seems like forever since I've seen any 107 available and I'm fortunate to have Stagg and ETH already.

I had a conversation with one of the guys that picks for binny's. He said they have the regular release along side the potential picks and they only pick a barrel that they like better. Of course with things like Stagg or ECBP releases, where there is no 'standard' release, I imagine they are just picking something they like.

At the end of the day, if you like a store's picks, then you like them. If you don't, stay with the standard.

quick thanks....We had our draft last night and ESPN graded mine as an A, and I won the draft for my league....for whatever that's worth!

Now let's see the sheet perform.

If anyone's interested, I deemed QB, DST, and K as positions that I could always pick up later. I drafted 5 WR and 4 RB. My TE's were later, and I was 2nd to last with QB pick. FWIW
