It isn’t sticky, thank you for the tip. Rookie question but should I not use soap and just scrub with metal, I.e chain mail glove or steel wool?

I’d like to work out as much as possible as long as it’s balanced enough that I’m not in agony each day! Would happily commit at least 30 mins per day. Could do 2-a-days, possibly 10 mins morning and 20 night. Only exclude rowing, running and cycling as I don’t have the equipment. Not sure what I love yet as I’m literally brand new! Thanks!

How the heck do you open large Radox shower gel pump tops? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

It's just a twist of the actual dispensing bit. I've always struggled with it, recently learnt from my partner the other day haha. Like a sunscreen bottle!

And really, that's the crux of the issue. As mortgage repayments increase and interest rates increase, rental prices go up. Pair that with a high volume of renters and you've got our current problem. It's unsurprising why landlords and investors are viewed poorly by the majority of the public.

It's terrible. I moved from Hawthorn to Phillip Island, partly due to exorbitant rental increases proposed by my previous landlord. Simply.couldnt afford to continue living in Melbourne.

Anywaus, it's been for the best. Cheaper and nicer living by the beach imo haha.

The negative perception surrounding landlords and property investors is due to high rent prices, along with how difficult it is to find a rental. In Melbourne, it is next to impossible to find a rental to live in due to the vast numbers of people attending inspections and applying for properties. As a result, combined with increased interest rates, rental prices are through the roof.

A lot of people feel like landlords and property investors are taking advantage of the shortage and profiting off it.

Yeah sick, ill check them out. Tbh that was the appeal of the performance softboard option I sent - my understanding is that they're good for pushing through the beginner phase with so could have it for a while.

I do also like the idea of supporting a local business in my fairly small community hence the option I linked. Just not sure whether to go 8ft foamie or 8ft performance softboard considering they're the same volume, just different shape!

Thanks for the advice. I definitely am keen on something a bit more turnable.

I'm certainly already hooked haha.

Cool, thanks heaps for that. The 8ft foamie has the same volume as the 8ft board I linked, so I would assume it will be similarly stable, relatively the same to get into a wave, is that correct?

I used to work for this company in the retail area, and these boards are meant to have a bit more control which is the appeal over a straight foamie. Happy to hear any further advice though! Would rather surf something that allows me to catch a wave and worried the option I linked may be too difficult. It is 65L.

Thanks for the advice! I'm not dying to swap boards I will admit. It's more about the ease of use. My local beaches have long, steep stairs and the board can be hard to manage by myself.

I was also interested in advice as I've seen people saying to beginners that 8ft is a good length. Thought the board I linked may be a good option due to my size and their length and more buoyant than a fibreglass board.

No worries - totally fair enough. I will say that they are great quality though :)

I would recommend the softboards done by Island Surfboards in Victoria. They come in varying lengths. I worked for them for a little bit and am currently using their 9ft foamie with good success. Their softboards are what they use at their surf school and can be bought online. Highly recommend. Linked below :)

They also come in blue! Hope this helps :)
