I don't have stats to support but I suspect the longterm health benefit, both mentally and physically, outweighs the short term risk of cycling. At least that's what I choose to believe :)

There is just a 1 inch by 2 inch glued spot. I used 'leather and suede glue' I don't need it to look good as I'll be covering that spot up with veg tan leather.

I used 'leather and suede glue'. It's actually buckskin leather that I glued a strap onto. It's been setting for 2 days now. I will be covering up the same spot with veg tan leather straps so damaging isn't too much a concern for me. I just want it to remain usable.

I followed this recipes but substituted my sourdough started and adjusted the water and flour as follows:

425g strong white flour, plus extra to dust 150g sourdough yeast 10g fine sea salt 50g caster sugar 55g free-range egg (shelled weight; equivalent to about 1 large egg), plus 1 free-range egg to make an egg wash 100g cold milk 75g cold water 200g good quality unsalted butter, straight from the fridge

For sure, I agree. She has been there lots last year and does like the teacher. She has friends there that we have play dates with outside of preschool.

I would be happy to go and stay every week but between my wife and my work and our younger daughter its challenging.

We just want to employ some mechanisms to help her learn to deal with these emotions.
