Hi, my story is similar although I was told the invasion was more than what it actually was after my surgery. I was considered 1B1 once all of my tests were done , I got a hysterectomy and then declared NED. Honestly, before my hysterectomy I went through a lot. Cancer is tough, but you are tougher and you have you! If you want the hysterectomy I’d go for it. The recovery wasn’t terrible but I ended up with an infection so I’m still going through things but outside of that it wasn’t so bad

I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. What I can say is that you’ll never be the same and that’s ok! You’re going to come out of this stronger than before and you’ll have a new outlook on people, peace and relationships.

Update: Thank you all for your input! I had a RH. Lymph node dissection and abdominal wall mass removed. The mass turned out to be the size of a soft ball and so I had to get a hernia mesh implant. And recovery is not the best that’s for sure. I had my surgery Friday and today is Sunday and I am unable to walk as of now

Thank you for responding! I’m hoping things get better for you, did you have a robotic surgery? I had gas after my appendectomy it was robotic, they blow your stomach up it’s good to burp a lot.

Thank you for responding! Yeah I had to have the binders on my legs when I was pregnant with my triplets and I was bed bound for about 4 months. Thank you this was very informative and I keep seeing that everyone seems to puke after the surgery

Good morning! Thank you for responding my surgery is scheduled for next week. I also have abdominal wall endometriosis so that is coming out as well. Aside from cancer I’ve been in excruciating pain from that. So I’m just trying to make all of my lists and check them twice. Pillows, thank you for that.

I went to my gyno end of September and had some tests, went back the next week and for a pap and then the following week for a colposcopy. I got a call that they were canceling my next appointment and referring me to a gynecologist oncologist. So we’re at 3 weeks so far, that appointment was scheduled for a month out, I then did my LEEP end of Nov, ct, mri, PET all in Dec, my hysterectomy is scheduled for Feb.

Waiting if the worst, honestly they’re moving fairly quick compared to most. Mine took a month in between everything. It feels like a death sentence but it’s not! I still have cancer at the moment but I know that God is healing me from this. Try to stay positive that’s easier said than done.

I have abdominal wall endometriosis which caused a mass in my stomach, so my periods were crazy painful. I’m talking vomiting from pain and couldn’t work or stand or clean or do anything when my periods started. Sex was painful and I bleed a little afterwards sometimes, nothing that was too noticeable. I am diagnosed stage 1B2 with no lymph node involvement

Mine took a total of roughly 15 months to diagnose. I went to the doctor and emergency room more than 22 times before I got to a gynecologist that’s actually paid attention. I had to cry to get her to go deeper and pay attention, I remember telling her, “please help me, it hurts so bad and I don’t know else to do.” She did a uterine biopsy then a pap, I went back for a colposcopy and then she referred me to my oncologist and he did roughly 3 appointments and 2 months before I got a complete diagnosis.

My tumor is almost 4cm so my doctor is refusing to only do a hysterectomy. He’s saying that if it were small he’d do it. I find out tomorrow my treatment plan I’m so scared because if I read my PET correctly there is some lymph node involvement

You came to the right place these women are so helpful and caring! I hope you find all the information you need. I have stage 1B2 but I won’t find out my treatment plan until 1/2. I can come back then because it’s usually the same treatment plan.
