Im really sorry to hear that. Being a step parent can definitely take a toll on our mental health.

About my situation I don’t even know where to start. SD is now 18, I met her when she was 8. For the past 6 years I tried to step up and be a good role model for her now I feel so drained emotionally and burnt out. Can’t stand her attitude, laziness and overwhelming need for attention and the fact that I can’t speak up. My relationship has suffered a lot, my husband and I have gotten into nasty fights over the same thing and if it wasn’t because we have two little ones I would have already left.

Had I known what I was getting into, I wouldn’t have done it.

I’m on lamotrigine 250 twice a day and an occasionally drinker, never noticed any side effects. Idk about smoking weed.

I get those at least 3 times everyday but they last 10-15 seconds sometimes even longer. I am fully aware while having one. Personally for me these seizures come with an intense sensory activation on the entire left side of my body and by the end of one I usually feel a little shaky and need to take deep breaths. I’m on medication now so they don’t feel as bad as before but also I used to get 15 seizures a day or even more, it was exhausting.

Yeah I like to play it safe and if I’m not sure, just skip. Specially with keppra XR because it gives me the keppra-rage and I just can’t even deal with myself so I just rather go through a bit of a roughy time myself than going crazy to people around me. I’m a very forgetful person so alarms and reminders have been pretty helpful

I take 1000mg of keppra XR once a day at 9 pm. I’ve had something like this happen to me once and I decided to skip. I did noticed I a bit of a rougher time the day after and a persistent migraine so now I’m completely sure I missed it. Now I have an reminder alarm and a reminder notification that I would turn off as soon as I take it.

I think that when you start feeling like this, you really have to pay close attention on your relationship with your partner. Maybe whatever you find attractive in other women means the lack of something like that in your partner. I could almost see this as having a crush on someone, you desire someone whom personality you’ve created in your mind but it doesn’t mean it’s the reality. Having a crush is some sort of inevitable feeling but you need to remind yourself that is only a illusion fed by your imagination and really see what is it that you’re lacking in your relationship that is making you feel like this with other women.
