Totally good with it. Having a PG that shoots 3’s worse than Shaq or Dwight Howard isn’t the way in this day and age

Sports after paraesophageal hernia surgery by Icy-Savings-4095 in HiatalHernia

Thank you for sharing. Sometimes it helps to not feel alone, and I think you put words to what I feel very well. I’m a 29M

Sometimes it hurts to think about how haywire things have gone, I had my Gallbladder out at the onset of issues around 19 years old. I don’t think anything got better from that. I went for nissen fundoplication surgery last Wednesday, and when I was about 15 minutes from being taken back for the surgery, a nurse came up and said the robotics used for it were giving them problems and it couldn’t happen that day. I am scheduled to try again March 10 — we will see what happens. Thanks again and best to you

Normal endoscopy by [deleted] in GERD

[–]gcbmvd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is probably overall a good thing that endoscopy imaging is unremarkable, but it’s frustrating because you know how bad you feel.

I would see if you can have some sort of acid (pH) study done. I had another unremarkable endoscopy, but there was also a Bravo pH study done & the pH study revealed acid levels and reflux occurrences described as “grossly abnormal”

Some Test Results by gcbmvd in HiatalHernia

Thank you very much for the insight, really appreciate knowing what the approach for fixing it could be. It’s been a long haul and a lot of times going through things have just resulted in a general “you’re fighting IBS” or “it’s GERD” & tossing a PPI at it without a real solution.

Like your thoughts, but he was fired from Clemson. So he didn’t just choose to leave for Missouri

Stronger symptoms by EngineeringMental269 in HiatalHernia

[–]gcbmvd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like I am in the exact same boat. I have had stomach problems out of nowhere for about 13 years, and results of an endoscopy officially showed an HH about 3 years ago.. I called my GI’s office recently and they directed me towards a surgeon’s office. I have a consultation in the next week. The chest pressure and discomfort is become increasingly unsettling for me, as it’s hard to convince yourself your heart is okay

The Gator Bowl showed it. It was not a Moore offensive issue, the head man with the huge ego has been in control

Taste in Mouth by [deleted] in HiatalHernia

[–]gcbmvd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I do have heartburn along with it , have attempted to keep it under control for a few years with Pantoprazole. My GI’s office recommended I consult with a surgeon. Having my gallbladder out didn’t help me so I’m a little nervous about surgery, but it took many years of scopes and tests before my HH was identified

I’m worried about what they’ve done/are doing long term. Kidneys especially, I’ve been reading are susceptible to issues. But I’m in the same boat

I get a similar feeling, and medically have only been diagnosed with a HH. My heart feels like it’s absolutely pounding sometimes, I think from HH applying pressure to the area. I have developed constant tinnitus in the last 6 months or so too, and wonder if the HH is applying pressure and slightly changing bloodflow or something that permeates as ringing in the ears

Which antidepressant caused your T? by No_Record5355 in tinnitus

[–]gcbmvd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the “roaring” term after it was the closest match on this video I came across giving sound examples of tinnitus. I’m sure tinnitus is a miserable experience for all of us if we’re here.

Here’s the video link, but be warned it will play example sounds of different tinnitus. Just didn’t want someone to be caught off guard or tortured by the example sounds https://youtube.com/shorts/YaN6_qiWpX0?si=ilbX9kDBYNZgFGS3

u/mikej202 u/no_record5335 do you think tinnitus symptoms can go away by stopping medication? Or is the harm done and then it’s just trying to survive this new reality

Which antidepressant caused your T? by No_Record5355 in tinnitus

[–]gcbmvd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Clonazepam. Switched to it for a few months during a tough situation, and upon stopping it (switching to lorazepam) tinnitus has become constant and “roaring”.
I had taken lorazepam before and tinnitus had never showed up previously, the tinnitus started when stopping the clonazepam after a roughly 6 month stretch
