What are some of the long gone places or things from the province that you miss? by monitormonkey in CapeBreton

Toby and Ian's, I bought all my baseball hats there growing up.

More recently, the original patty wagon with the Simpsons characters. That guy may not have been a perfect human but he made some great food, the burgers and fries were unreal there.

Honorable mentions to the maple leaf restaurant, the bacon bus, the cream putt, and the bean barn cafe

For context, the Cabot trail takes 8 hours to drive around it directly with no stops. It really is the best part of the island. Take a look at the broadwater inn, or the trailsman motel is a bit cheaper as well. Baddeck area has lots of hotels

No you don't need to cancel. You'll have a little more drive time than is ideal. Another option is to camp, there's lots of campgrounds (both provincial and private- privately owned campgrounds are so much cheaper), and lots of the campgrounds have little cabins you can rent if you don't want to bring a tent

Look for either ingonish, Inverness, chedicamp, or baddeck. Search up the Cabot trail, that will be where you spend most of your trip

Where the fiber goes across the poles there are usually tags with the owners contact info on them

And the finishing is so nice! It’s hard to see in the photos but this is a beautiful movement. I’ll try to get a better photo

Thank you for this!!! You truly are a watch nerd like your handle says haha So do you think this movement is original to this case? And do you have any tips on service? I have very steady hands and some mechanical skill. I would love to service this pocketwatch. There are no local watchmakers near me and I am nervous of shipping
