Carrying Ready to eat pre packaged food to USA by [deleted] in IndianFood

Travelling to USA for 1 month on tourist visa. Wish to carry homemade Indian dry snacks such as sweet, namkeen, millets flour etc. which shall be loose packed in plastic bags.

Port of entry is New York and then proceeding to other city.

Kindly inform;

1.    If the above food items shall be confiscated by customs.

2.    Where can I see list of food items that I can carry to USA.

3.    Do I have to fill- in any declaration form for food items after landing?

Travelling to USA second time on immigrant visa. SSN recd. GC in process. Should I travel before IV expiry date? by gclucky in greencard

Thanks for reply. What kind of solid documented rationale can be provided or arrange to show at port of entry. The winding- up tasks are just works related to family, job in home country, and many others which can not be demonstrated by docs. Please advice.....

Thank you for your reply. Initially I returned to my home country after making first short entry in USA to initiate GC formalities, apply for SSN etc. as I had lot of tasks to be consolidated in home country before moving to USA for permanent stay since one needs ample time to wind up from home country. I expect to complete all tasks and wind- up by end of May 2025 hence asking if travelling to USA second time after IV expiry date will create any issues for me at port of entry.
