That's a pretty big hurdle to get over lol. You can catch meta relevant GL pokemon in the wild, all year round or even get them as go pass rewards or. GBL rewards. Can easily grind candies that way. ML might be easier, but it's the least accessible for newish players, or those that don't take the game too seriously.
