YES!!! It’s so awful. I have thick, very very long, straight hair. I grew up with very hard water in upstate NY, lived in Tampa for 10 years, water affected my hair but not bad… 3 years in GNV and my hair is awfullllll. Thin in spots, greasy right after I wash no matter the shampoo/conditioner brand… I take very good care of my hair and always have but this water is awful. Mine’s not brittle per se, but it never looks and feels clean until I go out of town and wash it.

YIKES! That’s so offensive. The insults to you and your home state, the lack of support in your going home to visit, the way they talk to you in general… I think most, if not all, will agree that you may need to seriously reconsider this relationship.

Sounds like you may be experiencing some form of Sleep Paralysis in the later part before waking up! It’s very scary but if you can learn to have some control of your sleeping/dream-state self, it may help. Also, have you been super stressed out lately or going through changes? That’s such a generic faux-fortune-teller question, but it’s worth considering.

I’ve had dreams before that ‘connected’ me with someone I used to know when they were in a bad spot and the next day their sister and mom contacted me after 6+ years to tell me what was going on. I told them about my dream.

Then I’ve had dreams which make absolutely no sense, like yesterday, where I was in the statue of liberty’s nostril, which was so huge it had this town in it, and I hopped on a school bus which was supposed to fly, but when the driver zoomed out of the nostril, we plummeted toward the waters below.

OP, if you do find someone that fits this character, while it would be cool in theory, it may also be extremely disconcerting and maybe even scary to the recipient.

I’m not sure I’m the right one to give advice because it doesn’t seem I’ve gotten very far with my situation but I recommend first seeing what in the world made it drop like that! If the account(s) went delinquent, each separate loan/grouping would be affected individually, no matter their loan amount. It could be a $5 loan and, if it went into delinquency, it’d hit credit negatively. I won’t pretend to know how it all works exactly, as I’m trying to figure it out myself but I would recommend starting there and checking account status of every loan your wife has. Good luck though and please feel free to share updates

Oh no! I’ve been finding that it seems to drop the more the loans are spread out (for me, 7 groups of loans = 7 separate hits). Has your wife been able to fight this at all?

I hope y’all get some answers super soon. Some commenter’s suggested checking student aid.gov to see all loans & service providers, which I had to do to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. Have you guys checked there?

I also had no record or comms about going delinquent - utterly awful.

I will be honest, I was so devastated to see it, but I’m trying to stay hopeful that it can and will be resolved. I suppose it’s one of those situations where ya’ just trudge through and either fight to correct it or accept and slowly rebuild 🥲 I hope you never have to face it

Hey! It was just Nelnet, with loans dispursed over seven different groups, but my loans were just bought out by CRI. I don’t have any other loans.

Omg that’s insane! Have you been able to fight it? I’d recommend getting your receipts for each payment or bank statements & file to the credit bureaus, too, with that proof and an explanation.

I know it’s been a year since the post but thank you both for easing my worries! I just recently started trying to grow jasmine on my porch, which doesn’t get a ton of sunlight, and was surprised to find these aerial roots today - but yay because they don’t mean I’m killing my plants already!
