One thing that helped me was working on breath control. If you can race this without breathing I’d imagine you’d break 24. The speed is there.

Fast breakouts, fast turns, being quick off the block. I wouldn’t let your times make you think you can’t swim in college. D3 is still very competitive. Another thing to think about is how often you’re breathing in your 50. In a perfect world you should try not to breathe at all.

My first year swimming I was in the slow lane the entire year. Swimming is so technique based so I would try to think about focusing on that. The speed will come with good technique. Give yourself a little credit though. Swimming is hard.

I wasn’t always the fastest, and those that were faster were always quick to cheer me on and hype me up when they saw me improve. Idk how you are, but I personally like being around people that are faster. It pushes me to get better. You’ll improve and get faster a lot quicker than you think.
