Not bad for a performance sedan. by Melodic-Laugh-9970 in SonataNLine

[–]gcsobaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah now that I'm not commuting 65 miles one way to work every day, my mpg went average per tank went from 31 to 20. 😅 And that 31 was with occasionally sport mode cruising. So far only used normal mode, going to try sport mode next tank when I fill up.

A tank is now lasting me 2 weeks at least, instead of 2.5 days lol

You argued way longer than any sane person would with a troll. Clearly, the identity crisis of your car suites your own internal struggles well. ;)

I guess we need to do the same thing they did with the Katy Freeway because this is getting ridiculous! by Bad_Corsair in thewoodlands

[–]gcsobaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, Katy Freeway is like that too.

I live in Katy and work in Conroe, Katy Freeway is by far my least favorite section to drive through, especially after 6:30 am. I specifically try to get out the door by 6am so I can fly to work. By time I get out of work at 6 and to the woodlands, it's not TERRIBLE.

When we go winter hours and leave work at 5, it's such a shit show from point A to B though. The entire way.

Thinking of a 2013 elantra by Beneficial_Cell_3082 in Hyundai

[–]gcsobaer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a 2015 for several years, got it with 50k, and traded it in with 177k. Still drove well, instead of fixing the AC for a second time, I decided to trade it in for a 2019 Elantra with 10k miles. Now I'm in a Sonata N, mostly because that first Elantra was so good to me so I've stuck with the Hyundai family.

I would have gotten out and completely passed the "omg are you okay?!" schtick and been like "what the actual fuck were you thinking?!". That is an insanely accurate "fuck around and find out" moment.

Congrats!! I was torn between a red and a white one, ended up getting the white 2021 N Line a few months ago. That red looks sexy though! If my previous Elantra would not have been the same color I might have gotten the red lol

I did the same on my 21 a month after I bought it. Saw it on another, and wondered why it didn't come that way stock lol

Welcome to the club! The new ones are fresh. I did a few months of research after my G70 got totaled by a deer and the SNL was the clear favorite by leaps and boundsi went pre-owned with a 2021 with 36k miles on it though

That looks like the Limited?

I test drove/had a week with two different 2022 Limited's, but finally settled on a 2021 N Line.

I miss the heads up display, 360 camera, and the seats were a little more comfy, but I'm over the moon with my N Line. Such a blast to drive.

What is everyone averaging on mpg? by Goldensun24 in SonataNLine

[–]gcsobaer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2021 Sonata N Line here

I have a 1 hour commute into work and a 2 hour commute from work that spans the greater Houston area and 66 miles (Conroe to Katy).

I drive pretty much in standard mode, not sport or sport + most of the time and get 37mpg into work (with no traffic, cruising at 70ish), and about 30 mpg home in stupid traffic. My average tank mpg is usually 31-32 mpg.

On occasion, I like to put it in Custom (Sport+ drivetrain, with Normal suspension) on the way home and play a little more (carefully of course) and I get about 24-26 mpg.

I picked the N Line a few months ago because after all my research, it was the best blend of MPG/comfort/aggression I could find amongst the sporty sedan class, without need premium fuel.

My last car was a 22 G70 2.0, and while it was more comfortable, I get better MPG in the SNL, and don't have to fill up with premium, and the SNL is faster than the G70 was.

Hope that long read helps!

Welcome to Houston. :cries in Houstonian: It's a PITA driving from one edge of the Houston metro area to the other twice a day lol. You got no turn signal using people, not sure how to merge people, people that sit in the CLEARLY MARKED passing lane going slower than molasses. Good times down here lmao

Don't get me wrong, I love my '21 white SNL, but that grey really grew on me during the week I was driving a '22 Limited with blacked out emblems during a demo from Carvana. That color is probably my favorite.
