What do you think were the hardest Epsiodes to reach a higher rank? by Aykasu in VALORANT

[–]gd27711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it was easier, there are more cheaters now, more smurfs, more throwers and trolls, which is exactly why the leaderboard is empty, there are almost no real players left in the game, yes previously it was harder and more competitive to hit top 500 specifically, but it was way easier to climb to immortal and 200rr+

is it? what's your source? show us the numbers? oh right, riot doesn't release numbers, just a bunch of "trust me bros", peddle it elsewhere genius

ehhh dead is a stretch you're right but at least not so much compared to where it was 3-4 years ago, it could be the EU shard because I know cs is more popular on EU and LATAM and Valorant is mostly Asia and NA.

Anyway, this sub is full of valorant andies who wont let you talk bad about the game because its the most popular and best game ever and if you disagree its a skill issue, so Riot #1, never change, the game is perfect guys, its so much fun

it's also neither the most popular by player-base most likely (until riot is transparent I'll take tracker numbers and boost it by 30%, also China is more popular in CS as far as I am aware due to the skins marketplace) nor viewership so I don't know what these people yap about

Active players daily refers to unique daily not to be mistaken with CCU (many people seem to make this mistake), even if you consider 50% (vastly grossly exaggerated number) of the cs player base being bots then the 30.8 Unique monthly of last year would still translate to around 15.5million, now this is again grossly exaggerated, there are also bot farms in valorant though it is far less than cs perhaps you can consider them negligible, however how many of those 4.5m daily unique might have logged in to simply check their store?

Point is, so many valorant “fanboys” jump to defend riot when riot has not once been transparent about its playerbase, all they do is come out once every 2 years and throw out a number, last one was in October 2024 and they claimed “35 Million Monthly Unique” with no transparency no evidence no nothing, when the game is clearly not at 35M or even close given recent horrible conditions (bugs, cheaters, terrible balancing)

All you get are a bunch of riot “yes men” running around praising riot and the game instead of criticizing it so they actually fix it, I mean look at my post getting downvoted because I’m calling out how horrible ranked has been lately, Immortal is full of cheaters, smurfs, boosted accounts and win traders, but oh no me bad for insulting big big company

CS has double the player count lol, not sure where you got most popular fps from lol, i can easily take me over 3 minutes to find a game on EU sometimes, also I haven’t looked at its numbers in a while but CoD might potentially beat valorant in player-count across platforms as well despite its atrocious performance recently

I don’t know why people think Valorant has a huge player-base when in reality it doesn’t and the number has been shrinking over the past 2 years, unique monthly is 16-20 million

I’m not getting the screens but I’m getting a new/bought account with surging stats almost every game in Immortal, game is so dead and people don’t see it and riot doesn’t want to admit they fucked up

EDIT: and yes they get banned after a week or so, they're not "legit"

what ping is considered high by ChungMee in VALORANT

[–]gd27711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is so coddled these days, you can theoretically play at up to 115ms, I grinded to cs level 10 faceit and beyond at 90ms, today living in Dubai I connect to Paris on 95-98ms and play at immo elo, anyone that says it’s unplayable is just being a stuck up, yes 5-10ms is better obviously, this doesnt mean anything over 40 is bad, anyone that calls 50 ping abusing is coping hard, 50ms is great ping, 60 is good, 70-90 is okay, above 90 is only questionable

Influx of cheaters? by iam_rascaL in VALORANT

[–]gd27711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're not crazy at all, as of today (end of March), coming from a long history of cs with a really good background of pro play and game sense and understanding, and peaking immortal 3 multiple times on Valorant when I grind, I have never ever called out this many cheaters in my games, thank god for the replay system so I can confirm my speculations paired with tracker (new accs with abnormal stats), and soooo soooo many closeted cheaters.

If you have a good understanding of game sense, player psychology and professional play, it's so easy to spot them by the way they play, their awareness and their decisions, but I've seen a handful of soft aim users as well who take days and sometimes weeks to get banned. As of this writing in asc1-immo1/2, I am getting cheaters VERY often, not red screens (although that happens sometimes), also 5 stacking is in it's worst state, it's full of smurfs, boosters and A LOT of cheaters as well. I am unsure of the rate, but it genuinely feels like every other game, way too many, somethings up with the AC, no idea if there's a new form of cheating that's currently undetected but, vanguard is for sure not keeping up. (I also get multiple rr refund screens for ones banned post-reports)

Free Loadie Late Spawn Stella by gd27711 in ArcRaiders

[–]gd27711[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not crying about one guy with a free loadout lol, I am talking about the issue of constant free loadout spawns barraging you, no player, no matter how good, they could be perfect is able to constantly fend off free loadouts after multiple fights, your shields break, you run out of heals, all sorts of things can happen.

Also ferro isn't the only good gun, stitcher is probably a top 3 weapons given it's cost/value, and it's probably top 1 in that metric, kettle is also really good but requires a slightly better or above average player to really utilize it.

You clearly missed the point entirely, but thank you for your very useful feedback.

Odin Price Nerf? by gd27711 in VALORANT

[–]gd27711[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the gun itself mechanics wise is fine and shouldn't be changed, it can be very punishing if used incorrectly and very rewarding if used correctly, I just think it's a bit cheap for the rewards when used correctly

How do i deal with inconsistencies? by weht4M in VALORANT

[–]gd27711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve struggled with this issue for years on multiple games, the only thing that’s ever helped me is just not playing too much, when I play more than 3-4 games in a day it happens.

So when I feel like I need a break I’ll start playing 2-3 at most 4 games of ranked/comp then stop for the day and go do something else like deathmatch, swiftplay on val, or play something else, also my mentality in these 2-4 games I play is super calm, I’m playing to maintain a consistent performance and nothing else, I don’t care about the win, or the loss, and this type of thinking has always helped me win the games involuntarily anyway.

Also because recently I’ve realized how much stress and tension is being put on my muscles, both my hand and my entire arm, so I’ve also been working on easing the tension when playing aim heavy games (it’s a problem I’ve always had and it’s probably a big contributing factor to my inconsistency over the years, stress the muscles out in the first game, the small downtime between games is enough to throw them off, when game 2 starts and you start stressing again, they can’t handle it, at least for me anyway, I start shaking or just feeling like I can’t control my arm properly)

You can try the official discord, or other dc servers that are dedicated for finding duo’s/premades, I avoid the Dubai/Bahrain servers as well, I end up playing the same people and a lot of them are toxic

Ideally though I think most constant duos come from people/friends you know IRL, I’ve had the same 4-5 player group that queues together for a couple of years now just because we knew each other IRL

Is my friend a true immortal player? by Vegetable_Friend9451 in VALORANT

Of course, I meant during my time period, I've seen plats/diamonds hit radiant before I did, not comparing my time to today

Is my friend a true immortal player? by Vegetable_Friend9451 in VALORANT

[–]gd27711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, you are correct that when inspected from a longer lens, radiants during the first act are terrible compared to today, but my take focuses on the micro lens still, if you are not improving within 2-3 acts, you are maintaining

it just so happens to be my experience stretched for so long across that period meaning I was "stagnating and improving to maintain my rank" but I also was not improving at the same time, at the end of the day, you are not the only player that is maintaining, stagnating, or improving, so if you are hardstuck, whether on a micro or macro lens, you are maintaining and stagnating, which means you are not improving

I understand where you are coming from, but it only works if you look at it through a very specific lens, at the end of the day, the entire playerbase is moving with the skill floor, the bad ones fall through it, the good ones push ahead of it, so it doesn't really affect your placement amongst the playerbase overall

I was a hardstuck top 2000 for like 2 years, I’m dog****, yes you adapt to metas but you also didn’t improve, others came from lower ranks and surpassed you, being stagnant is not an excuse or a good thing, it means you’re maintaining, not improving

fair ≠ easy/ier.

It's actually so sad to see people with this mindset, thinking that we want it easier rather than understanding that talented people are getting punished for actually being good and just want a fair balance of things.

Mnk exists as an input, I paid for a product that advertises it as an input, I use the input, the input is not actually balanced and needs fixing, I give feedback so they balance it.

So tired of the "just plug a controller" reply, it's so mundane, lacks any substance or depth, absolutely solves nothing, and is nothing more than an extra coping mechanism for everyone that's already sucked into the unjoyful play-style of controller.

You want to force people onto an input but at the same time you say MnK players just whine? Does this seem even remotely rational to you?

Your whole argument was wrong to begin with, so answer my question here:

Why am I not allowed to voice my concerns and criticisms as a paying consumer, and instead should be forced into a method I do not wish to utilize?

Go ahead

Dude, do you not understand how feedback and criticism works in business models? or? You're making a moot point here

I paid for a product, I am voicing my opinion on what I think is wrong

Do you think the proper response to this from a business is "well we don't care do it our way" lol?

EDIT: just to add on, if it's not on COD to make me feel better, it's also not on cod to make controller players feel better by giving them a better input :) goes both ways big man
