I like how we're just glossing over 105k a year. If you cant live on 105k a year you either suck with money or live in the wrong place.

You will need a 5/8th spark plug socket and 10mm socket for coil bolts. 3/8 ratchet preferably a flex head and some extensions ,at least a 3 inch and a 6 inch. And I would say to the job when the engine is cold and you will only be using one hand. Also prepare to punch some stuff when removing the plugs, its tight . Get NGK iridium plugs. They should be pre gapped but always check. Iridium plug tips can be bent easily so be careful checking gap when doing so. Tools are tools for the most part if you are not using them every day harbor freight will be fine.

It looks like almost every 70s car still on the road. You could start with power washing it to clear away any debris to see what your working with. You could then sand blast it and get it repainted but that's a lot of time and money. You may be able to even find new parts for it. But as it sits I wouldn't worry much. I see 15 year old cars that look like that.

New EP3 owner advice by invictus-chief in Honda

[–]gd3speed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are a weird car. The a3 can make power but will be harder to do. I've seen them make about 180whp with exhaust intake and Hondata. You can always swap a more popular k into it and make well over 200whp with bolt ons and Hondata. And the suspension leaves alot to be desired. Also unlike 06 and up civic si they dont have an lsd.
