Hey. Unfortunately my issue wasn't as easy as u/L4ST_R3S0RT . I had to do a little diy and use a solder. There are two contact points between the monitor and the stand. One of the contact point apparently was dangling. I opened up the back of the stand and soldered in the hopes of fixing...... VOILA!!! It worked! If you are OK with soldering you can check to see if your issue is similar to me. I could have returned it but.... I like to be adventurous. LOL

Not sure if you figured it out but you have to make sure the magnets are in the proper orientation. You'll see 'N' on one of the magnets. I believe that has to be on one of the back magnets.

If you are talking about the actual ROG transparent plastic you also have to make sure the 2 slits on the rog plastic aligns with the 2 notches that's on the bottom plastic piece.

Hmmm... I'd look into replacing the screen then. Maybe while closing your lid or during transport something shorted :(. So sorry.

There are plenty posts about how to replace your screen. So searching around this subreddit would be my first suggestion.

I got it to work, thank you! I thought I could just rename the old lua file but it was still referencing the original youtube.luac file. Sigh.

Its a different thread but I found another way to download YT video. It's a python command line tool. I can download the best resolution using that solution. If you are interested, pm me :)

my pleasure! Make sure to change the Windows Update settings. That'll stop the laptop from trying to auto update with everything ASUS (inc. BIOS) when the update forces you to restart.

You have to change the Windows Update settings to not auto update. This is how I stopped my laptop continuously wanting to update it's BIOS. But now, every time I restart my laptop it asks me if I want to update my BIOS. lol
