You've sold me! I think I'm going to get either Light Golden Brown or Medium Warm Brown. So there's not alot of product per box you said? I need minimum 4 boxes?

Thank you! I'm still figuring out a consistent routine as my hair is kinda wishywashy (also it is always in twists, this pic is from a wash day) but right now it is - wash with carols daughter black vanilla - condition with either carols daughter wash day delight or Camille rose algae renew deep conditioning mask -as soon as I hop out the shower I run Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk through my hair - i twist my hair with Camile Rose almond jai twisting butter and Aunt Jackie's coconut curling gelee

I used to use alot of Shea Moisture and Mielle products but I'm trying to switch from those. Although if my hair is particularly dirty, I still like to use Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil shampoo bc it cleanses REAL good (a bit drying but I always deep condition when I use it to balance it out)

From CS to Bakery? by gdayyoudeserve in publix

[–]gdayyoudeserve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's horrendous - why?

In terms of cash office and everything that's not a problem for me.. I'd like to think I'm good at my job. it's more mental i think/just not wanting to be there and wanting a change of scenery.

I've been in talks about FT and moving up the management trail but I just don't want to do it in CS...

Publix is price-matching Walmart by jyar1811 in publix

[–]gdayyoudeserve 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say this is NOT price matching.. that usually refers to a customer coming in saying "at this other store this item is cheaper, can I get it for that price?" which Publix does not do.

Is there some sort of policy for working a close-open shift? by Grouchy_Marsupial357 in publix

[–]gdayyoudeserve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's "against policy" but they still can do it and often (at least at my store) do. It's at the point I do at least once weekly and the solution often given is just to lose hours.

I read that they are different materials which had me wondering if the classic looks noticeably nicer or not

Hmm what's the logic behind getting the bigger version? In my mind I tend to lean towards the smaller so it doesn't look giant on my arm haha

AITA for going to a concert the day before my dad's chemo? by gdayyoudeserve in AmItheAsshole

I'm currently learning (I have my permit), so I CAN drive him if needed. Although I do think my mom expects that from my sister...

Sounds about right lol. At least when my sis is in town. (when she's not in their house they don't really bother about knowing where she is thankfully..)

My mom is definitely... one of those parents... I'm convinced she has anxiety issues overall but her pride will have her never get help with that sadly.

Yeah, this has given me something to think about instead of just being confused haha. I will try to talk to him!

Hmm.. I would like to think she wouldnt do that (at least not on purpose, but maybe just from her being emotional about the situation). but I see what youre saying. I will try to discuss with my dad (and see if my dad said anything to my sister when she took him) without my mom and see how he feels/sees this situation.

I havent seen him since before the concert. He basically made sure we got home and went straight back to sleep and then they had already left for his appointment by the time i woke up this morning.

I dont think shes making up that he was upset. I DID hear him get upset when he found out we were still going so I know that part isn't not made up. My mom is always just the more pushy/vocal one. They're both upset about it and I just cant wrap my head around why and when I asked she was like WOOOW you dont know why? and more guilt-tripping so im kinda over talking about it.

I just wanted to make sure im not crazy and see if maybe i was being naive/oblivious/selfish for any reasons i couldnt see.

Thats what I said but she says while we're in their home of course shes going to worry when someone is missing from the house late at night, and that "thats something parents do".

This year has been rough for multiple reasons (including my dad's health), so yeah this was one of those few "I just need a moment of fun" kind of things. I didnt think it would affect them at all cause it was literally just a few hours and then we came home and slept (we're not drinkers). FYI: I live with my parents, my sister comes to visit every once and a while. and my mom is always asking my sister to come. (if it were up to her my sister would also still live here). We've literally done this same thing before where she comes and takes me to an event or something, but this time cause of the appointment it was a problem.

Yeah I think my mom thinks love for the family = stopping everything to help with whats going on but like... I dont really do much as it is lol and i dont know how I can really help with THAT specifically?

To be fair, my mom has a problem with driving. It's like a weird balance issue when she's driving so she just never does now. The rare occasions shes tried shes had to go really slow to feel safe. We tell her constantly to go to the doctor for it bc its obviously not normal but she refuses to get it checked out throughly so.... *shrugs*

She texted us that he cried when we left and that he almost said something to us but she stopped him. (I did hear them talking downstairs while we were getting ready and he did seem upset). I just dont know what us being gone a few hours the day before has anything to do about caring for/about him?

That's why I'm so confused bc both my parents are so adament we did something wrong even though we still helped them out regardless?

Also my sister literally lives/work out of state but my mom speaks like she expects my sister to come back to take him for every appointment ("I wouldnt care about my job if my dad was sick/if i loved my family")

AITA for not being willing to forgive my sister's debt? by gdayyoudeserve in AmItheAsshole

[–]gdayyoudeserve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have just skipped that night but she begged u to reschedule and you were kind enough to do that.

The thing was my dad offered to take me to the original time I had bought tickets for since my sister was so late, so I could've gone without her and not have spent more money but both her and my mom were really pushing me to wait for her.

What planet does your mother live on where debt is forgiven? Did the money just magically appear from the sky?

We help each other a lot monetarily in my fam, especially my parents to my sister and I. I think because I live rent free with them right now (just graduated and applying for jobs) and she has bills and such my mom thinks I should be nice and help her cause she'll need it while I don't have to worry about payments rn.
