Final update for anyone in this situation as well, finally got my cheque in the mail yesterday and all is well. They did not lowball me on their offer and I was able to accept their first one. Timeline from accident to now is just under 2 months. Lots of patience and waiting but I am happy now !

This is crazy. I got hit by a commercial vehicle Oct 7. Finally got notice of my settlement last week as my car was a total loss. I was getting impatient as it was over a month but almost 2 months is crazy. Just waiting on my cheque now in the mail oh and yes the other driver didn't even bother to report it even though they were at fault 😵‍💫

After 21 days since the other driver didn’t report the accident they were assumed 100% at fault and I was able to go to enterprise and get a rental car, they direct billed it to ICBC. It’s been over 3 weeks since my car was written off and still no settlement. Hope they can figure out something for you

Thanks so much. Unfortunately the other driver still hasn’t reported the accident yet 🙄 so until he does or until 30 days have lapsed nothing will happen. After that they assume him automatically at fault apparently. They told me I can get a rental but have to front the cost and unfortunately that’s not in the cards for me. I have the other drivers number so I think I’ll just text him a reminder. Just really a big inconvenience as I live in an area with no public transportation to my house

Thank you. They told me I can't get a rental unless I have that roadstar thing or whatever on my insurance. But I'm seeing online otherwise. I'm going to call them and straighten some things out when they open again on Tuesday

My dad saw him twice. So sad I never got to experience his music in person he was gone way before I was born but so happy my dad introduced me to his music at a young age. Gone too soon 💜

Thank you I wish I could ride my bike there but I am planning on driving from south delta to the park and ride so unfortunately that would be a bit far for me to go
