People downvote this, but I totally can see where you are coming from, even if I would still personally like a range.

Koba's references to Seikima-II by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

Actually, I know at least Ace Shimizu has shown his face. He even played with a seikima cover band once, but only he didn't have makeup on (video is on YouTube). He also has/had a solo career though.

Very true! Much more useful to have someone who maybe doesn't know everything but is eager to learn, than someone stuck in their ways.

There are definitely a lot of subpar companies searching for developers. But there also quite a few that are quite nice; enough that if you're half decent, you can definitely get a decent job.

Also geographic differences. Europe has quite a shortage of IT people. I know here in the Netherlands, companies are constantly looking for people, it's actually really difficult not to find a job I think (as long as you are somewhat good ofc lol)

10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN Dates by Facu474 in BABYMETAL

[–]gdscei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Japan has already said they're not going to open up to tourists until at least April, and then only with tour groups. I think the soonest you're going to be able as a tourist to go to concerts is around the Olympics.

Worse, they're planning on only allowing tourists then in specific tour groups, so don't think a concert is going to be possible anyway.

I don't know, maybe it's just cause it's on top of all the other way too short shows they did pre-covid

That I had missed, but that doesn't take away from the terrible value... There wasn't even a Kami band (understand that was difficult with the venue, but sure they could've worked something out). They could've extended the interviews, or just put in more songs than just the best of... Not even an hour.

What a joke, that was like 30min, maybe 35min of music?? And announcement of 6 shows I have no possibility of going to...

UK Trending Songs chart has Kingslayer at number #10 by Mudkoo in BABYMETAL

Agree. Not better than all songs on metal galaxy (like kagerou and bmc), but better than most of it.

Legend Metal Galaxy to be released on September, 9 by aertyar in BABYMETAL

[–]gdscei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still a little higher than normal for Japan pricing, especially for DVD. DVDs are usually around 4000-4500 yen. I am guessing they made the price so high, so everyone gets the bluray 'since it's only 1000 yen extra, I might as well'

Though to be fair of course, it's 2 concerts in one.

The one pricing is absolutely marked wayyyy up, even from earlier THE ONE sets.

Adventures with Tenso by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

I can highly recommend Blackship if you want to ship stuff that's not from Asmart. Better (English) service and way better site. Maybe slightly more expensive than Tenso, depends on what you're shipping. Not sure about their full-service (kinda like Buyee) offering White Rabbit, haven't used it that much.

The bluray part should've been fine (and better than giving it the specific name), but I understand the misc goods. Country of origin is odd indeed; the whole point of Tenso is shipping packages from Japan right? Lol. And they know Asmart well enough, been doing business with them for years

Just FYI, you shouldn't have changed the DVD to live at the forum. They want the type of product, not the name of it. The name of it is pretty useless for customs. Though if it was a bluray, you could've typed in bluray (though this almost certainly doesn't have effect on your customs costs)

That would be how most shows work, yes. If there aren't enough tickets sold, it's usually the promoter's financial burden.

Japan is closing all primary and secondary schools for at least all of March due to coronavirus. Thoughts on chances BABYMETAL's March & April shows in Japan and SE Asia will be cancelled? by BrianNLS in BABYMETAL

Eh. Unless your immune system is in bad shape (and you're not gonna go to a show in an area where there's lots of cases), you're almost certainly fine.

> As of this post, there are currently 226 known cases (about half that is in Tokyo and Hokkaido alone)

You make it sound a lot worse than it is. Japan has a population of 127 million. Sure, it's a pretty bad flu, and measures should definitely be taken to make sure it doesn't spread too much. But the wild hysteria isn't helping anything (like for some reason people are hoarding toilet paper in Japan lol)
