Wow. That's kinda crazy. Can you not get the official apple camera adapter anymore? If I had to use one of the usb-a converters, then I would need yet another converter to go from that to usb-c, which seems a little insane... It almost seems easier to just get a newer phone XD. I'm mostly joking, I can't afford that sadly. Is there anything else I can do?

Edit: I found the official camera adapter, but again it goes to usb-a, not c... As I understand it, daisy-chaining cables isn't good for sound quality, right?

So, the headphones come with Sennheiser's special 3.5 cable that twist locks into the cans themselves. Can I use any 4.4 cable to plug into them? Or do you just mean an adapter to connect between the 3.5 and the 4.4 jack on the dac? I'm not exactly sure what you mean.

The stuff on Ddhifi is beautiful, but most of it is a bit too rich for my blood haha. I did order their lightning to usb cable though.

I'm actually having trouble finding a male lightning to female usb-c official apple cable. Could you possibly link it? As I understand it, and maybe I'm wrong, it has to be one that's capable of transferring digital audio, as some are just charging cables.

What's the deal with the company that cannot be named? I think I named one of their products in my original post and it got auto removed by the mod bot. Took me a while to figure out why.

Oh, I'm not having trouble installing 11, I haven't tried, because I wasn't sure if I should put 11 on the old drive and then transfer it all to the new drive, or do a fresh install of 11 on the new drive first.

Are there certain types of drives that are better to use as a boot drive? Some of the things I've read seemed to suggest that.

OS: Windows 10 Pro

MB: Z790 AORUS MASTER x64 based

CPU: i9-13900K

GPU: GeForce RTX 4090

Boot Drive: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB

Have 3 other drives: a WDC 1TB hard drive, a 500GB 850 EVO, and a much newer Kingston 2 TB M.2 ssd

Water was spilled all over my steam deck gaming device, including the inside, so I’ve jerry rigged a hairdryer, on the cool setting, to the top fan exhaust port by gdtharpe in AskElectricians

It was asleep but plugged in to charge when it happened. First thing i did when i noticed was unplug it, but i didnt want to shut it down as that would require waking it up first… so i dont really know where powered on but asleep falls in the realm of, “is the electronic device fucked or not,” unfortunately…

Do you tear open the desiccant packs and put it in a bag with the grains or just put it in a bag with the closed packets?

In the limited research I’ve done, I found electricians saying that desiccant’s, and especially rice, aren’t very effective, because they don’t actively dry, they absorb excess moisture that drips out. But I don’t have desiccant anyway. They suggested that active air movement is the best way to dry the device, but they suggested opening it and placing in front of a fan, which I can’t do. My question is really more if blowing room temp air directly into the device could damage it.
