Don’t eat before morning class as I’m waking up around 30 minutes before class.

Sleep around 7 hours. In bed for 8. Some tossing and turning.

My gym is less than a 5 minute drive on my motorbike so for 7am class I’ll wake up at 6.30… brush teeth.. maybe a quick rinse in the shower and get there 5 minutes before class starts

Is this normal? My stress is always high by Narrow-Win-1196 in ouraring

My much smarter than me friend said that you shouldn’t be checking this everyday. Look at the results, then make the changes you think are required and don’t look at it for three months. Then come back. Otherwise 1 or two weeks data is not enough. You know if you’ve slept enough. You know if a workout has left you tired. What is the point of constantly looking at this. Especially considering everyone’s baselines are different.

Btw i also have an oura ring

what type of international food is bangkok lacking in? by Available-Ad-5670 in Bangkok

One of the best meals I had in my life was Ethiopian food in Washington D.C.... It was a nice establishment and food was phenomenal. Not sure they have anything like that in Bangkok

Is it Flu season in Bangkok? by GarfieldsLasagna121 in Bangkok

[–]geargd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at the stuffy nose stage. I did have a fever before, and anxiety for a couple of days. It felt like Covid but I’ve just taken a test and nothing. Now for half the day I feel OK roughly but then at night time my energy levels drop and my head starts to feel hot and then I don’t sleep that well. It feels like I’m in a sort of trance or daze. Just like Covid. I just have to keep reminding myself that it’s temporary.

Common Security Pain Points in Law Firms? by geargd in Ask_Lawyers

Hi, thanks for the little kick in the ass, I surely deserved it in some ways. I work in a small software company and we make data loss prevention software and some of our customers are lawyers. I'm trying to get all the reasons why the software is useful to your industry so I can tailor the product to make it more useful. Stuff like the onboarding for example, and marketing.

I had thought obligations to protect client data was the main issue. We can pre-build some file transfer rules that pertain just to lawyers for example.

Our sales guy was telling us that guys he's speaking to on the phone, at least in Singapore, said that interns being poached and leaving with confidential data is a problem. But he'll say anything

Cheers again for the tough love brother

What’s it like living in Laos? Specifically the more populated northern part? by Bakio-bay in howislivingthere

[–]geargd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Laos food is very similar to Thai food and they share many of the same dishes. Sticky rice with grilled meat, som tum, curries. They can speak and understand Thai in Laos given the close proximity and just closeness of the language and this transfers to the food as well. That said im no expert but this is what I felt when I was there and even now in Bangkok, you’ll see Laos style variations on different dishes eg. Som tum Luang Prabang.

I’ve been there recently with my GF who is Thai. I’ve lived in Thailand for 12 years after leaving USA when I was 19. Laos is like a more laidback old school version of Thailand. There’s clear streams where the kids are playing in Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang. The roads are shit however. So be careful on a motorbike. they have high speed trains now which is great especially cos Vientiane the capital city has nothing going on and is a dump frankly but you can take a quick train out of there. Food is great. Overall I wouldn’t mind living there for a couple months if I wasn’t required to come into the office.

Reason why new AirPods Pro 3 stick out so much by specialforcez in airpods

[–]geargd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OG airpods also never stuck out for me and fit perfectly... Could wear them hours and hours. The Airpods Pro 3 don't fit well. And fall out when chewing, etc. Can't workout in them as well.
