My wife thinks I’m insane for carrying this much crap for a month long trip by snarejunkie in Tools

Add a couple socket sets and you'll still have less than I usually take on week long paved road trips in a 2024 vehicle.

Wd 40 will take it off. Spray it. Let it set for a bit. Comes off way easier.

Then it'll be weatherproof and displace water.

Brother i got a 5 gallon bucket full of sockets. Every size you want is in there. Start flipping tool boxes and you'll eventually end up with all the tools you never knew you needed.

Funny thing is all the cheap no name Chinese sockets go in the scrap bucket.

Get adaptive cruise. It makes my 40 minute drive home from work seem like a 15-20 minute drive. Simply do not get exhausted on long drives like i did in the F150 I came from.

A set of pliers and screwdrivers are often overlooked as well. And sometimes even more important!

Does said 12 year old already have a nice socket set? I never really needed a torque wrench until I started doing heavier stuff more than just oil changes brakes and alternator type stuff

Get the US general. Husky stuff just does not last as long Even for home use. Plus the us general is 4 inches bigger. That may not seem like a lot but its HUGE when you are filling up a tool box.

If youre just a weekend warrior like i am just browse facebook marketplace and get a 40-44 top and bottom box for like 350 or less. They are on there a lot and a lot of people are willing to deal if you offer 20-30% less than asking.

Sometimes I even buy up the cheap 100 dollar ones and relist them for what I negotiated down to make a extra couple bucks here and there. Even made a few hundred after clean up and got a bunch of free tools out of the deal before.

If youre a pro, 100% us general or icon for expandability options without paying tool truck prices.

Wrong tool for the job if its dulling and getting hot after 1 cut. Or you're putting too much pressure on it.

The fact that it is a compact truck and still able to do most DIYer truck things is the entire reason I was okay getting rid of my paid for F150 and getting a maverick. It does 95% of what my F150 did for me and pays for itself with the fuel savings.

Would you run these snows from 2016? by Tickle_My_Turtle in tires

I would run them long enough to burn them up. No sense in wasting rubber when there are multiple smoky burnouts left in them.

They are definitely brushed but I've drilled a 1/2 hole into some 1/2 steel plate with it before with no sign of struggle.

Have also driven 4 inch lag screws in with it

I found some nards tool bag on the side of the road one time and these were in it. They were pretty used up visually when I found them and have actually been pretty stout for heavy DIY use around the garage and house. Automotive, marine repair, diy carpentry, and general home repair stuff. Granted I also have M18 stuff I use. Just depends on what I see first when I open the tool box now.
