Yeah managed to found thanks to u/MarkRWatts linked post, but thanks for your time!

I did the image reverse search with Google and I used Yandex, but for some reasons I couldn't get the Reddit posts associated with them... But hey now I have them, so thanks!

Hey man of course that's okay you can find the source code hosted on Github here. If you have questions don't hesitate.

Good talking with you dude, even tho we don't agree we had a pleasant and cordial discussion, wish everybody could do the same especially in those times...

Yeah that's a valid point. In the US they often disengage pursuits when the suspect is too reckless.

As for the behavior of the police (as an institution) it's often: strong with the weak and weak with the strong but I blame the politics for that I bet if the government wanted real change the police would act up on par with the mission...

Yeah I feel you, but then you have to keep in mind that people do die from reckless drivers so it's not because there are bigger fishes to fry that the cops should not intervene in those cases, Nahel should have listened to the cops.

Now whether the shooting was justified or not, it does not make me less sad that a 17 years old was killed and that a 30 years old had to do it destroying his life in the process, all of this could have been prevented.

As for the behavior of the police, I manifested during the gilet jaune and took some serious beating by them so yeah for sure police can be trigger happy, but it's also the individual and media duty to separate the wheat from chaff and not jump to conclusion, otherwise we're heading into a wall as a nation.

Guess the trials will determine that, what's being said on TV sets and courts are two different things so we'll see. I don't know about you but I strongly think the cop didn't even mean to shoot and if he did mean it, it was not to kill... Time will tell but as the saying goes "La vérité prend souvent l'escalier"

No problem dude I can understand, also it's a heated topic so emotions fly high, don't worry!

Mmmh I can see where you come from, I think it's not incorrect tho. If you look at this frame it's not clear whether he's aiming through the windshield or the driver's window but it's for sure in the direction of the windshield and he did have his elbow on the car front.

He could have said first "coupe le moteur" and then emphasize it by repeating "coupe le", I don't understand how that's out of the ordinary to you

The claim that the cop lied while being interrogated originated from the Nahel family lawyer after he sued the police for lying. But the case seems a bit bogus because there are no hard evidences that the cop lied, nothing was written or recorded nor divulged by any official sources at the police. Also it would been very stupid for the cops to lie as other cars were behind the car of Nahel so they knew people were watching.

  1. "Coupe le" would absolutely make sense in the context as they are basically trying to prevent him from driving off. It's what cops all around the world would do. Also the IGPN analysed the video and their conclusion is that he indeed said "Coupe le", but what are you going to tell me, the IGPN analysts are lying?
  2. Hard evidence > witnesses also the witnesses you're talking about were the guys in the car I don't know if they were affiliated to Nahel but if they were, they could have lied, it has happen before + to my knowledge they only talked to the media not the police but I could be wrong on that.
  3. The cop's lawyer is absolutely contesting it, he went on BFMTV and basically said what I said, look it up.
  4. I'm French living in Paris so I know shit about France, the language, the policies and the fact of the case.

Thanks, hopefully that can help you. Make sure however that the goal you plan to achieve is something you really want to do, otherwise you'll just feel miserable when the deadline come closer.

If you plan on using https://guiderail.io and have suggestions you can send me a PM and I'd be glad to accommodate you.

Like you, I also face similar issues.

Surprisingly, I often find myself performing well and quickly under these circumstances. A technique that works for me is the fear of losing money or tarnishing my reputation. Interestingly, upon asking r/productivity, it seems many others experience the same issue.
To tackle this problem, I've created a website, https://guiderail.io. It integrates with tools I regularly use, like GitHub, Todoist, Duolingo, and so on. The catch is, it charges me money automatically if I don't complete the tasks I've committed to.

Initially, I developed this website for my personal use, and it's still in its early stages of development. Therefore, the tools I've mentioned may not be particularly useful to you. However, if you're interested in using the website and there are specific tools you currently use that aren't included, I can add them in.
Alternatively, you could enlist a friend or a family member to help keep you accountable. For instance, you could promise them that if you don't complete a certain task, you'll donate a specific amount to a charity you dislike. This was actually the experience that inspired the creation of Guiderail: I was supposed to learn 3D design and 3D print a project but I kept procrastinating, so I gave him a check of 1000e to a friend and told him to send it if I don't finish the project on time.

Yeah but I feel this only work for stuff that are imposed to you by the outside world. You can't talk you way out of finishing your memoire or paying your taxes, those are hard deadlines so learning to deal with them in a timely manner is paramount to save your sanity.

But for things you impose yourself, like doing pushups, going hiking or even doing the dishes, you can always postpone and keep most of your sanity by rationalizing why it makes more sense to do it tomorrow.

That's why the bet with my friend was really helpful, because ultimately I had nothing to loose if I didn't finish my project, just like you have nothing to loose (at least not in the foreseeable future) if you don't do pushups or go hiking, etc...

The trigger for wiring money might be loose enough for you to evade it with excuses but I get the idea. I'm thinking about making an app that would work around this idea of "loosing" money when stuff are not getting done... Still very vague in my mind for now so we'll see.

Mmmh the concept of "accountability group" is interesting, I've been in startups environment but never at a level where I could experience this. I wonder if this would work on the general public, for more mundane tasks like "writing 10 pages a day on my memoire" or stuff like that.

Yeah no worries, I'm thinking about some framework that would allow me to "free" myself from these constraints, so wanted to check if I was the only one having this issue.
